Boeing Defense, Space and Security (BDS) is seeking a Senior Supply Base Management Specialist to support the T-7 Red Hawk Supply Chain Team in Berkeley, MO!

This role will include closely coordinating with the procurement agents and IPTs as the Program moves into Low Rate Initial Production phase. 

Successful candidates will have experience working with supplier qualifications, data analysis and presenting findings to senior leadership and customers. Ability to work independently and autonomously in a fast-paced data-driven environment will be required.  

Position Responsibilities:  

Level 4:

  • Leads supplier/subcontractor business relationships, in-service requirements and performance to contractual obligations and expectations.

  • Manages and monitors supplier quality, delivery and financial performance.

  • Leads the development of mitigations plans to avoid risk and resolve issues impacting customers and programs.

  • Develops and implements supplier base plans to support customer, program and commodity strategies.

  • Analyzes supplier and business processes and procedures to identify improvement opportunities and incorporate into contracting strategies.

  • Acts as primary point of contact for suppliers, customers and programs.

Level 5:

  • Manages supplier/subcontractor performance and relationships.

  • Provides business and strategic guidance for critical suppliers, commodities and programs.

  • Leads the resolution of complex or strategic supply chain issues.

  • Consults with management and customers to lead the development of future supply base requirements.

  • Integrates supplier strategies with program needs and supply base capabilities.

  • Drives the company's cross-functional supply base strategy process.

  • Evaluates potential proposals and coordinates sourcing proposals.

  • Ensures external partners are meeting business expectations.

  • Acts as primary point of contact for suppliers, customers and programs.

This position is hybrid. The selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at one of the listed location options.  This is at the hiring team’s discretion and could potentially change in the future.

This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship.  An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • 5+ years of experience managing suppliers/vendors to deliver products and services

  • 5+ years of experience working in a multi-functional team environment

  • 5+ years of experience working with Supplier Management, Supply Chain, and/or Procurement practices and processes

  • 3+ years of experience presenting and communicating data in Senior Leadership briefings

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Level 5: More than 10 years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher

  • 3+ years of experience with MRP (Material Requirements Planning)

  • Experience supporting Operations, Materials Management and/or Supply Chain functions in a production environment

  • PMP (Project Management Professional) certification

  • 3+ years of experience using all the following Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)

Travel:

This position may require up to 20% travel.

This position is for 1st shift

Summary pay range for Level 4: USD $102,850 - $127,050

Summary pay range for Level 5: USD $119,000 - $147,000

Security Clearance

This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim U.S. Secret Clearance Pre-Start and final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.
