The Boeing Company is looking for a Software Engineer - Developer (Associate or Experienced) to join the T-7 Mission Systems Software team located in Berkeley, MO.  This position will focus on supporting the Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) business organization.

The T-7 Mission Systems Software team is responsible for the design, development, testing, and maintenance of the operational flight program (OFP) software, vehicle management systems (VMS) software and various other Mission Systems-related software for the T-7 aircraft.

Our teams are currently hiring for a broad range of experience levels including; Associate, Experienced Software Engineer - Developer.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Supports the design, development, test, and maintenance of non-embedded software throughout the end-to-end lifecycle that meets industry, customer, safety, and regulation standards

  • Supports development, maintenance, enhancement and optimization of software products and functionalities for systems integrations

  • Supports development, documentation and maintenance of architectures, requirements, algorithms, interfaces and designs for software products

  • Supports debugging and resolution of issues identified to ensure the reliability and efficiency of software products

  • Supports development, establishment, monitoring and improvement of software processes, tools and key performance metrics that align projects with organizational goals and industry benchmarks

  • Works under general supervision

  • Designs, develops, tests, and maintains non-embedded software throughout the end-to-end lifecycle that meets industry, customer, safety, and regulation standards ​

  • Reviews, analyzes, and translates customer requirements into initial design of software products

  • ​Develops, documents and maintains architectures, requirements, algorithms, interfaces and designs for software products

  • Debugs and resolves issues identified to ensure the reliability and efficiency of software products

  • Develops, establishes, monitors and improves software processes, tools and key performance metrics that align projects with organizational goals and industry benchmarks

  • Serves as subject matter expert for software domains, system-specific issues, processes and regulations

  • Works under general direction

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/ Experience):

  • 2 plus years of experience with programming languages: C, C++, C#, Python

  • 2 plus years of experience working in a multi-tasking environment while supporting multiple concurrent activities

  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science, or other technical degree

  • Ability to obtain special program access

  • Experience programming in C++

  • Experience developing embedded real-time software

  • Experience with Agile software development

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. 

Summary pay range for Associate: $86,700.00 - $117,300.00.

Summary pay range for Experienced: $107,100.00 - $144,900.00.

This position offers relocation based on candidate eligibility.

Security Clearance

This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.
