Tapestry Solutions, a part of Boeing Global Services BGS, is seeking a Software Test and Evaluation Engineer in Berkeley, MO. As a full-time Software Test Engineer you will be responsible for ensuring a successful testing process is implemented and followed by all to provide a quality product to the Customer. Additionally, you will perform independent verification & validation of requirements by creating, running, and evaluating automated and manual tests. You will document defects and confirm their resolution. You will expand upon the automated testing framework.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Create formal test plans and test reports and ensures they have the correct approvals

Job Description

  • Creates and Maintains the test strategy and documents it
  • Estimate user stories/features (story point estimation) and tasks in hours with the required level of accuracy and commit them as part of Sprint Planning
  • Works with the Product Owner to confirm that the acceptance tests reflect the desired functionality
  • Collaborate with other team members on various aspects of development/integration testing etc. to get the feature working on is delivered with quality and on time
  • Provides test coverage reports/automates test cases percentage
  • Provides test evaluation summary report (test metrics) for the release
  • Tests features to ensure working software with high quality as per acceptance criteria defined is released as per committed team sprint objectives
  • Manage local VM and test data
  • Design, develop and maintain automation test scripts using Test Complete/Test Execute

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • At least 5 years of testing experience
  • At least with 3 years in automation testing and development using Automation Testing tools like Test Execute/Test Complete
  • The ability to obtain a U.S. Secret Security Clearance.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Relevant work experience into manual testing. Data comparison, Data Verification and Validation using Excel
  • Experience working in an Agile environment; Working knowledge of Agile principles, methods, and frameworks
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills Experience in creating test automation framework from scratch
  • Excellent verbal communication skills; Good analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Understanding of the Aviation industry

Summary base pay range $94,000 - $105,000

Security Clearance

This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim U.S. Top Secret Clearance Pre-Start and final U.S. Top Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.
