Boeing Global Services (BGS) is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Manager of Demand Planning and Forecasting (Level M). This role is critical in ensuring that our supply chain operations align with market demand, optimizing inventory levels, and enhancing customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate will possess a strong analytical mindset, excellent leadership skills, and a proven track record in demand forecasting and inventory management. Experience with the implementation and sustainment of complex Sales, Inventory, and Operations Planning (SIOP) and Collaborative Planning, Forecasting, and Replenishment (CPFR) processes is essential. Additionally, familiarity with various forecasting models, including time series models, historical sales forecasts, and machine learning techniques, is required in our Dallas, TX.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite.  The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options: Dallas, TX

Position Responsibilities:

Key Competencies:

  • SIOP (Sales, Inventory, and Operations Planning)

  • CPFR (Collaborative Planning, Forecasting, and Replenishment)

  • Understanding of Fill Rate, Supply Plan Accuracy, and Forecast accuracy, Turn Rates and  Inventory Budget Management

Leadership Responsibilities:

  • Manage employees and mid-level managers performing data science and analytics.

  • Forecast, plan, and lead strategic data science and analytics initiatives.

  • Develop and execute integrated organizational plans, policies, and procedures.

  • Guide the development of business and technical strategies, goals, and objectives.

  • Acquire resources for organizational activities and provide technical management of suppliers.

  • Lead process improvements and develop relationships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners, and direct reports.

  • Provide vision, oversight, and approval of technical approaches, products, and processes.

  • Manage, develop, and motivate employees and mid-level managers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Demand Forecasting: Develop and implement robust demand forecasting models and methodologies to accurately predict customer demand across various product lines.

  • Data Analysis: Analyze historical sales data, market trends, and customer insights to inform demand planning strategies and improve forecast accuracy.

  • Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, production, and supply chain, to gather insights and align on demand planning initiatives.

  • Inventory Management: Optimize inventory levels to balance supply and demand, minimizing excess stock while ensuring product availability.

  • Performance Metrics: Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to demand planning and forecasting, providing regular reports to senior management.

  • Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements within the demand planning function and implement best practices to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

  • Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and develop a team of demand planners, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional growth.

  • Technology Utilization: Leverage advanced forecasting tools and software to enhance forecasting accuracy and streamline demand planning processes.

  • Stakeholder Communication: Communicate demand forecasts and planning strategies to stakeholders, ensuring alignment and understanding across the organization.

The position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a “US Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. “US Person” includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • SIOP Experience

  • Experience with inventory management, to include inventory optimization

  • Supply and Demand planning

  • Forecasting

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Experience with Service Parts Management (SPM)

  • Experience with CPFR

Relocation

This position does not offer relocation.  Candidates must live in the immediate area or relocate at their own expense.

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. 

Summary pay range: 158,000 - 225,000
