Boeing’s Financial Analysis Center of Excellence (COE). part of Boeing Finance Shared Services, has an exciting opportunity for a Experienced Financial Analyst to provide finance analysis and support for Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) Engineering located in Everett or Renton, Washington.

The Experienced Financial Analyst will primarily support the Engineering team on a Sustaining Airplane Program and the supporting Engineering Design Centers. Working with the Leadership team, Finance Integrators, and other stakeholders the analyst will be responsible for providing actionable insight by completing financial performance/variance analysis, financial assessments, budget management, opportunity and risk management, and analytics/reporting development.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Develops and maintains budgets for Engineering function supporting Airplane Programs

  • Initiates analysis of statement of work budgets, resources, variances, performance, and other types of financial analysis related to Engineering

  • Provides understanding of operational and financial performance to management

  • Makes recommendations to management on financial performance projections using financial and business knowledge and experience

  • Develops, reviews, analyzes and maintains cost and/or schedule performance measurement baselines, including analysis of work completed compared to costs incurred, and variance analyses and communicates cost and/or schedule trends

  • Develops business cases using appropriate indices

  • Analyses and maintains Opportunity and Risk profile, taking into account, performance, key indicators, and other Program events and knowledge

  • Develops analytics and other indicators to be used in Running the Business discussions and reviews

  • Drives continuous process improvements related to Budget development, Analytics, and other financial products that enhance the partnership with Airplane Program leadership

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Currently have a Bachelor’s degree or higher

  • 5+ years of experience in a finance related position such as Financial Operations, Cost Management, Accounting, Estimating, Financial Planning, or Procurement Financial Analysis (PFA)

  • 3+ years of experience with the Microsoft Excel application using: formulas, VLookups, pivot tables, charts, filters, and linking worksheets

  • Experience using analytical, collaboration, communication and organizational skills

  • Experience performing variance analysis

  • Experience interfacing and communication with business leadership, including C-Level executives

  • Experience working with analytics, data and spreadsheets to build presentations and make recommendations

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Experience leading the integration and analysis of resource forecasting and/or Estimates at Completion (EACs) for control accounts, budgets, financial statements forecasts and/or financial EACs for contracts

  • Project management skills and coordination with key stakeholders

  • Experience with systems such as: Cost and Rate Management System (CaRMS), Enterprise Planning and Analysis System (EPAS), Cognos, Interactive Reporting Environment (IRE)​,  or Tableau

Summary pay range: $85,000 - $115,000
