Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) has an exciting opportunity for a First-Line Product & Services Quality Manager (Level K) to join the Interiors Responsibility Center Washington (IRCWA) Fabrication Quality Team based out of Everett, WA.

This team is responsible for all aspects of product quality from inspection to material review board to corrective action investigations and quality engineering. IRCWA produces interior components for all Puget Sound airplane programs and commercial derivative platforms.

In this role, the ideal candidate will be a reliable professional, skilled in collaborating and working across diverse groups and organizational boundaries. They must be a problem solver who relies heavily on data and analysis to drive decisions, as well as a leader capable of effectively implementing solutions in an ever-evolving environment. The candidate will lead and support implementation of the Built-in Quality and Quality Management System (QMS) compliance within Fabrication. Transformational leadership skills are essential for building team engagement and guiding quality team members in implementing key initiatives, including One Boeing Production System, Escape & FOD elimination, Defect Reduction, and ensuring QMS Compliance. The successful candidate will find implementation of new and innovative approaches, including advanced process and production oversight methods and new technology, to be an exciting and engaging aspect of their assignment. The candidate should demonstrate resilience and tenacity in implementing improvements in an established and regulated production and quality system.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Manage Quality operations that affect product quality in Fabrication Quality

  • Lead change and improvement across the production system

  • Supervise, engage, motivate, and guide Quality employees (i.e. inspectors, technicians, Quality Assurance Investigators, Quality Engineers, Quality Specialists and other staff)

  • Assure the reliability and consistency of production processes for improved quality

  • Understand customers’ requirements and ensure they are satisfied

  • Facilitate proactive solutions by collecting and analyzing quality data

  • Teach and rely on structured problem-solving methods to drive improvement and resolve issues

  • Understand and teach current standards, policies and requirements

  • Communicate with internal and external regulatory and compliance officials and support onsite audits

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite in Everett, WA.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • 3+ years of experience in a production-related discipline such as Manufacturing, Quality, Production Engineering, Supplier Management, and/or Supplier Quality

  • 3+ years of experience in Quality Management System (QMS)

  • 3 + years of experience leading teams in a formal and /or informal setting

  • Must be able to work any shift based on the needs of the operation

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Experience working with AS9100 and/or similar QMS standard

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)

  • Experience leading teams including cross-functional teams

  • Experience in root cause analysis/systematic problem solving

  • Ability to manage multiple teams simultaneously

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.  

Summary Pay Range: $115,600 - $156,400
