Boeing Commercial Airplanes is excited to offer opportunities for a Lubrication Technician to join our Equipment Services team in Everett, Washington.

Join our dedicated maintenance team as a Lubrication Technician, where you will be essential in ensuring the smooth operation of our machinery and equipment. In this vital role, you will independently lubricate and maintain a variety of tools and motors, following precise diagrams and specifications to uphold the highest quality standards. Position Responsibilities:

  • Lubricate machine tools, equipment, and motors, following lubrication diagrams, sketches, or instructions.
  • Drain, clean, and fill reservoirs with lubricants or coolants, ensuring proper maintenance of machinery.
  • Observe the condition and operation of equipment, reporting any irregularities to supervisors.
  • Remove and replace grease fittings, guards, and other components to facilitate lubrication work.
  • Clean and replace coolant pumps and lines as necessary to maintain equipment functionality.
  • Obtain work assignments through various sources, including the Plan of the Day (POD) and emergency calls.
  • Operate a 2-way radio for job information and remain on call for emergency dispatch related to spills.
  • Respond to emergency calls for contaminants, ensuring proper pickup and disposal in compliance with OSHA and state regulations.
  • Collaborate with engineering to evaluate and determine the appropriate type of lubricant based on manufacturing requirements.
  • Calculate the volume of oil, water, and coolant needed using basic math and algebra to convert measurements as required.
  • Perform preventive maintenance (PM) on a scheduled route, servicing machines and equipment as needed.
  • Maintain an inventory of lubricants and cleaning supplies in the oil crib and shop floor according to site processes.
  • Lockout, tag out, and tryout systems for safety when working on or around machinery.
  • Operate mechanical lifts and material handling equipment to access work areas and move equipment as required.
  • Monitor and coordinate the containment and disposal of hazardous waste, ensuring compliance with state, federal, and OSHA regulations.

Physical Demands and Potential Hazards:

  • Perform physical tasks that include lifting weights ranging from 10-15 lbs to 15-35 lbs.
  • Engage in various movements such as reaching, handling, turning, twisting, lifting, lowering, climbing, balancing, bending, kneeling, crouching, and squatting.
  • Work in environments that may involve contact with metals, solvents, and coolants.
  • Operate in proximity to moving parts and tools, sharp cutters, and potential slipping hazards.
  • Adapt to varying noise levels and atmospheric conditions.
  • Utilize personal safety gear to protect face/eyes, hands/arms, and feet while performing job duties.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

This position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a “US Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. “US Person” includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee

Basic Qualifications:

  • 1+ year experience working around, handling, and proper disposal of hazardous materials and/or chemicals.
  • 1+ year experience with techniques, equipment and materials used in the mechanical maintenance and repair of related equipment and systems.
  • Able and willing to work at heights of 125 feet and pass Fall Protection Training.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 1+ year experience performing lubrication and coolant routines.

Typical Education & Experience:

High school graduate or GED preferred.

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.  

Summary pay range: $24.00 - $48.58 per hour
