Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is seeking a strategic and results-oriented Manufacturing Excellence Superintendent (Level M)to lead our Workforce Management Integration (WMI) & Skills Development Workplace Coaching Team in Everett, Renton andAuburn/Frederickson, WA.

The primary location for this role will be either Everett or Renton, with frequent travel required between all listed sites. Candidates should also be prepared for both domestic and international travel, as needed.

As a Manufacturing Excellence Superintendent, you will lead our Workplace Coaches, focusing on employee proficiency and skills development for our Manufacturing, Quality, and Fabrication teams. This role also includes overseeing BCA Workforce Management Integration, with an emphasis on effective staff planning and strategies to enhance workforce capabilities.

The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, a deep understanding of workforce development, and the ability to drive strategic initiatives that align with Boeing’s core values.

Position Responsibilities:   

  • Lead and mentor a team of Workplace Coaches dedicated to coaching, leading employee structured on the job training, and skills development across Manufacturing, Quality, and Fabrication

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess workforce needs and create targeted strategies for skills enhancement

  • Oversee BCA Workforce Management Integration, focusing on effective staffing planning and resource allocation to meet operational demands

  • Analyze workforce data and trends to inform strategic decision-making and optimize workforce skills

  • Foster a culture of collaboration, inclusion, and respect, ensuring that all team members feel empowered to contribute to their fullest potential

  • Drive initiatives that promote employee development, career progression, and retention within the BCA workforce

  • Manages employees and mid-level managers performing advanced technical knowledge and leadership to manufacturing projects to resolve production concerns

  • Develops and executes integrated organizational plans, policies and procedures and guides the development of business and technical strategies, goals, objectives

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite in Everett, Renton and Auburn/Frederickson, WA.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher

  • 8+ years of experience working in an aerospace, fabrication, or manufacturing environment

  • 5+ years of experience leading teams in a formal and/or informal leadership role

  • 3+ years of experience developing and delivering presentations to senior leaders

  • 3+ years of experience in a role that involves strategic planning and risk identification 

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • 10+ years of experience working in an aerospace, fabrication, or manufacturing environment

  • 3+ years’ experience in a senior leadership role

  • 3+ years of project management experience

  • 3+ years of experience collecting, organizing, and analyzing data; summarizing findings; and developing conclusions

  • Experience in staffing planning and workforce management integration is highly desirable

  • Proven experience in a leadership role focused on workforce development, training, or human resources, preferably in the aerospace or manufacturing industry

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and inspire diverse teams

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.  

Summary Pay Range: $173,000 - $213,000
