The Boeing Company is currently seeking a Power Plant Operator to join the team in Everett, WA.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Operate boilers, with responsibility to operate engines and boiler associated auxiliary equipment depending on location
  • Read gauges, meters, and charts to track boiler operations
  • Monitor boiler water, chemical, and fuel levels
  • Activate valves to change the amount of water, air, and fuel in boilers
  • Feed boilers using gas feeds or oil pumps, inspect and maintain equipment to ensure that it is operating efficiently
  • Check safety devices and perform environmental checks routinely
  • Record data and keep logs of operation, maintenance, and safety activity

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • 1+ years of experience with Boiler Operations
  • City of Seattle Steam Engineer's License Grade 2
  • Valid state driver’s license

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • 3+ years of experience with Boiler Operations
  • City of Seattle Steam Engineer's License Grade 1

Work Shift:

This posting supports positions for multiple shifts.

This is an hourly position governed by the IUOE 286 Collective Bargaining agreement.
