The Boeing Company’s Specialized United States (US) Infrastructure Operations (SUSIO) Organization is currently seeking an Information Technology Operations Lead to join the team in Herndon, VA or Fairfax, VA

As an Information Technology Operations Lead, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and optimizing our infrastructure, ensuring the stability, security, and efficiency of our systems. This is an excellent opportunity for a talented professional to contribute technical leadership and Development, Security, Operations (DevSecOps) principles in support of Argon, a Boeing subsidiary, programs within the Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) business. Argon is a recognized leader in developing and delivering advanced technology solutions for defense and intelligence applications. With a strong focus on innovation, we provide our clients with state-of-the-art systems and services that enable them to meet their mission-critical objectives. Position Responsibilities:

  • Lead and supervise a team of Information Technology (IT) professionals, providing guidance, support, and mentorship

  • Assign tasks, set goals, and monitor team performance to ensure efficient and effective operations

  • Foster a positive work environment, encourage collaboration, and promote professional development

  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the IT department, ensuring systems are running smoothly and meeting service level agreements

  • Monitor and maintain IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, and hardware/software systems

  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, coordinating with other IT teams or external vendors when necessary

  • Implement and enforce IT policies, procedures, and security measures to protect data and systems

  • Provide technical support to end-users, addressing hardware, software, and network-related issues

  • Respond to user inquiries, troubleshoot problems, and resolve technical issues in a timely manner

  • Train and educate end-users on IT systems, applications, and best practices

  • Collaborate with other IT teams and stakeholders to plan, implement, and maintain IT projects and initiatives

  • Coordinate project timelines, resources, and deliverables to ensure successful completion

  • Conduct regular project status meetings, provide updates, and address any issues or risks

  • Identify opportunities for process improvement, system optimization, and cost reduction

  • Stay updated with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in IT operations

  • Recommend and implement changes to enhance IT infrastructure, security, and overall efficiency

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • 5+ years of experience as a systems administrator

  • 5+ years of experience working in a cross functional environment with all levels in the business from individual contributors to executive leadership

  • 5+ years of experience in using project management methodologies, including developing project plans, performance management, and managing issues and risks

  • 3+ years of experience as a team lead

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field

  • Active Top Secret or Top Secret/SCI Security Clearance

  • Active CompTIA Security+ certified (or similar certification meeting DoD Directive 8570.01 Certification Requirements)

  • Experience with ITIL framework

  • Experience in IT Infrastructure, Change Governance, Root Cause Analysis, Operational Risk, System and Networking Architecture, DevOps & Cloud Operations

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

Summary pay range: $154,700 – $209,300

This position requires an active U.S. Top Secret/SCI Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required).
