The Boeing Company is currently hiring Experienced Software Engineers located in Plano, TX or Hazelwood, MO to support Boeing’s Next Generation Product Support team. This position will focus on supporting the Boeing Global Services (BGS) digital and analytics government and military business. The program oversees the strategy, processes, people, investments, and the development of a broad portfolio of digital and analytic tools sitting on common cloud-based platforms.

The ideal candidate for this role will possess a strong foundation in software development, a passion for technology, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. You will play a pivotal role in designing, developing, integrating, and maintaining high-quality digital and analytics capabilities, tools, and processes for our customers. Position Responsibilities:
•    Develop and maintain Java Spring Boot applications, Spring Security, Spring Cloud, and Spring ecosystem.
•    Develop and maintain user-facing features using React, Angular, Angular Material, and other open-source front-end technologies in an Angular library.
•    Develops new software and updates existing applications using Java, JavaScript, TypeScript, SQL, Python with various data formats (i.e. JSON, XML, SQL).
•    Collaborate with back-end developers and designers to implement user interface designs and ensure seamless integration.
•    Participate in system architecture discussions and provide input on design patterns and approaches.
•    Write clean, modular, and reusable code while adhering to software development best practices with Jest unit tests.
•    Conduct thorough testing of software components and resolve any bugs or issues that arise.
•    Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and implement software requirements.
•    Work with version control systems, such as Git, and contribute to continuous integration and deployment processes.
•    Optimize application performance and ensure scalability by identifying and resolving bottlenecks.
•    Stay updated with the latest trends and advancements in front-end development and leverage them in the development process. Help guide execution teams to handle technical debt on a routine cadence.
•    Must be able to communicate effectively with team members, stakeholders, and customers to understand project requirements and provide status updates on development progress.
•    Responsible for performing software development, design, and integration with various knowledge domains to support large-scale web-based application and cloud service development efforts.

This position is hybrid. This means that the selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at one of the listed location options. This is at the hiring team’s discretion and could potentially change in the future.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

•    5+ years of experience as a Full Stack Java Developer
•    3+ years of experience frameworks and technologies, such as React, Angular, Node.js, Java/J2EE and Spring Boot.
•    3+ years of experience developing on distributed architectures
•    1+ years of experience in the Aerospace industry

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

•    Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science
•    1+ years of experience with AWS or in a similar cloud provider (Kris)
•    1+ years of experience with a cloud-based data processing and analytics platform

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.  

Summary Pay Range: $107,100 - $155,250
