Boeing Global Services (BGS) is seeking an Experienced F-15QA Simulator Technician to support our business in Doha, Qatar

This position will be based in Hazelwood, MO and is for an international assignment at Al Udeid Air Base in Doha, Qatar.  This is a Long-Term Assignment to Qatar for a minimum of 2 years.  Relocation/assignment benefits to the international location will be provided.  Ability to meet international assignment health requirements is required.  If accompanied, family must also meet international assignment health requirements.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite.  The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at Al Udeid Air Base, Qatar.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Supports and maintains the F‐15QA Full Mission Trainers, and Integrated Maintenance Trainers with associated visual systems and peripherals

  • Will have experience in all aspects of training device operations and general maintenance experience conducting inspections/tests, managing spares, and using the Instructor Operating Station to operate the trainers in addition to any other necessary levels of support.

  • Performs troubleshooting, repairs, preventative maintenance, reconfiguration, and modification of the Training Devices and other electrical, electronic, and mechanical systems as required under supervision

  • Assists with repairs and tests, installs, configures, upgrades and assists in the modification of simulators and training components, devices, hardware and software

  • Performs logistical, administrative, and other collateral duties as necessary to maintain the training devices.

  • Assist engineers in troubleshooting systems and configuring support equipment

  • Demonstrated ability to work well in diverse teams.

  • Work under limited supervision

This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship.  An interim at Pre-Start, and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start, (within six (6) months) is required.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skill/Experience):

  • 2+ years of experience in aircraft simulator training device maintenance and the operating systems, visual imagery, and display systems associated with flight simulators/training devices; or a minimum of five years of aircraft avionics component maintenance and repair.

  • Must hold an active secret clearance or possess ability to obtain a clearance within 6 months

  • Has experience working on FMS contracts/working with international end users

  • Will have the ability to multi-task and operate with a flexible work schedule

  • Assists instructors/aircrews during scheduled training missions, installations and future upgrades.

  • Perform general inspections for pre-operations, post-operations and component handling of training device

  • Experience in flight simulators and training equipment is highly recommended

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Already holds an Active Secret U.S. Security Clearance

  • IT background skills (highly desired)

  • 4+ years of experience in aircraft simulator training device maintenance and the operating systems, visual imagery, and display systems associated with flight simulators/training devices; or a minimum of five years of aircraft avionics component maintenance and repair.

  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team to repair/test, install, upgrade and assist in the modification of simulators and training components, devices, hardware and software.

  • Have a can-do attitude and the ability to work on multiple tasks assigned by team-lead/manager under pressure, and to resolve competing demands on time to deliver results without compromising technical or platform integrity

  • Knowledgeable in Windows operating systems and computing networks

Typical Education/Experience:

  • Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Associate) and typically 3 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Bachelor+1 years' related work experience, 5 years' related work experience, etc.).
