The Boeing Company is seeking a Estimating and Pricing Manager (Level K) to join our Finance Shared Services (FSS) Estimating Center of Expertise (COE) organization supporting the Government Estimating and Pricing Space and Launch business to lead the team from Houston, Texas; Huntsville, Alabama or El Segundo, California. Relocation assistance is available for qualified candidates.

We are looking for a dynamic leader to help lead part of the FSS Estimating COE – Defense, Government Estimating Proposal Development organization managing the Space and Launch estimating team. This leader will help drive functional excellence and create culture that will cultivate change agents.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Manage government estimating employees performing estimates, cost or price proposals, business case development and risk, financial and competitive analyses

  • Provide oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes

  • Develop process improvements with the goal of improving efficiency, quality and customer satisfaction

  • Develop and execute project and process plans, implements policies and procedures and sets operational goals

  • Identify, collect and monitor appropriate metrics to ensure performance

  • Establish partnerships and relationships with internal and external customers, stakeholders, peers and direct reports

  • Acquire resources for organizational activities and leads process improvements

  • Create development plans for team members including coaching, mentoring, knowledge transfer and developmental opportunities and job assignments to enhance employee performance and expand capabilities

  • Provide on-going developmental feedback

  • Champion employee recognition by acknowledging contributions of individuals and teams to improve employee satisfaction and retain a skilled and motivated workforce

This position is expected to be 100% onsite.  The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher

  • 5+  years of experience in a finance related position such as Financial Operations, Cost Management, Accounting, Estimating, Financial Planning, or Procurement Financial Analysis (PFA)

  • 3+ years of experience leading teams or projects

  • Experience communicating across organization with suppliers and leadership

  • Experience with cost proposal preparation on government contracts

  • Experience supporting audit, fact-finding and negotiations

  • Experience working with cross-functional teams

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Government customer interactions and relationship building

  • Experience with government, company, and local policies, procedures, and regulations (e.g. Estimating system manual, Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation (DFAR), Truth In Negotiations Act (TINA), International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR), Procurement integrity, Export Control relating to development of cost proposals

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

Summary pay range for TX and CA: $133,450 - $180,550

Summary pay range AL:  $124,950 - $169,050
