Boeing seeks an Associate Design and Analysis Engineer to join our team in Huntsville, Alabama and support the PAC-3 production program and develop advanced diagnostic equipment for troubleshooting seeker hardware.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Install, service, maintain, upgrade, and modify special test equipment used for the acceptance and diagnostics of the PAC-3 seeker.
  • Use technical knowledge, existing procedures – or develop new procedures, and internal and external resources to fabricate, install, diagnose, and correct seeker hardware and test equipment hardware and software.
  • Modify, test, calibrate, and document system configurations to meet design requirements.
  • Use various types of computing systems or electronic and electrical test equipment to test electronic and electrical components and systems.
  • Work with management, engineering, equipment manufacturers, vendors, suppliers, and other organizations to analyze and make recommendations on test equipment design requirements, capability, and improvements.
  • Support ongoing PAC-3 production program adherence to production schedules.  Troubleshoot and repair of PAC-3 Seeker and subsystems.  Troubleshoot and repair test equipment in the PAC 3 seeker factory.
  • Analyze and gather test data to determine fail signature and corrective action.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science.
  • This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship.  An interim or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.
  • 3+ years of experience in engineering design or analysis.
  • Experience testing and troubleshooting advanced Electronic Systems (i.e. Electro-Optical Guidance Systems, Radar Tests and/or RF Seeker).
  • Experience in electronic or electrical systems or subsystems and components including the requirements, operating principles, design variables, performance, and key interfaces.
  • Willingness and ability to work 2nd shift.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • 3+ years of experience in electrical and electronic hardware design.
  • 3+ year of experience with mm Wave and Microwave Test.
  • 3+ year of experience with radar systems.
  • 3+ year of experience working with Radar Cross Section, antenna, or Radome measurement techniques.
  • Programming experience. Python, C++, LabView, …

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

Summary pay range:

Mid-Level (level 3): 96,050 – 129,950.

Lead (level 4): 119,850 – 162,150.
