Boeing Global Services (BGS) is looking for a Senior Project Management Specialist to join the F/A-18 Component Repair team in Jacksonville, FL.

The position focuses on supporting U.S. Navy F/A-18 Flight Readiness by delivering repaired flight controls and components. The specialist will work under the Boeing Jacksonville F/A-18 Program Manager and collaborate with various internal and external stakeholders, including the U.S. Government and other Boeing divisions. Candidates should have strong written communication skills and experience in business proposal development, contract negotiations, and executing U.S. Navy contracts.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Manage project integration for Boeing Jacksonville's F/A-18 repair and spare production operations, specifically focusing on Flight Control Surfaces and other component repairs
  • Daily responsibilities include overseeing the successful execution of operations, coordinating acquisition and finance activities, and collaborating with various departments such as Engineering, Production Operations, Supply Chain, Contracts, and Finance. The role also entails periodic and indirect management of external suppliers and engaging with customers
  • Conduct detailed project analyses to gather lessons learned and create historical reports to inform future planning
  • Serves as primary liaison for contracting, proposal coordination and financial management
  • Develop, nurture and maintain relationships with customers, suppliers, stakeholders, peers, and partners

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • 5+ years’ experience in a role requiring project / program management skills
  • 5+ years’ experience in U.S. Navy contracting
  • 3+ Experience developing and maintaining relationships and partnerships with stakeholders (i.e. customers, suppliers, peers and/or partners)
  • Experience with schedule and budget management, stakeholder communication, as well as understanding of program planning and execution to ensure cost, schedule and requirements are met

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Experience with F/A-18 platform

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. 

Summary pay range: $107,950 - $146,050

Security Clearance

This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim U.S. Secret Clearance Pre-Start and final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.
