The Boeing Company is looking for Software Developer (Associate, Mid-Level) (Virtual) to join the Enterprise Software Products and Capabilities Utilities and Tools team located in Long Beach, CA across the US and the globe. This position will focus on supporting the Boeing Enterprise Software Engineering and all Boeing Business Divisions.

As part of Boeing Enterprise Software Products and Capabilities Utilities team this position will develop software for a suite of products that provide data translation, data mapping, avionics infrastructure configuration and automated code generation capabilities.  Come and be part of the ground floor for products that rethink how systems engineers and software engineers model communication onboard our aircraft.

Our teams are currently hiring for a broad range of experience levels including Associate and Mid-Level Software Engineers.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Designs, develops, tests, and maintains non-embedded software throughout the end-to-end lifecycle that meets industry, customer, safety, and regulation standards. ​
  • Reviews, analyzes, and translates customer requirements into initial design of software products. 
  • ​Develops, maintains, enhances and optimizes software products and functionalities for systems integrations.
  • ​Develops, documents and maintains architectures, requirements, algorithms, interfaces and designs for software products.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skill/Experience):  

  • 2 years of experience in developing data pipelines / ETL processes
  • 2 years of experience in application development
  • 2 years of experience in building and deploying RESTful microservices
  • 2 years of experience with web service deployment in Java, Python, Spring
  • 2 years of experience with XML, XSD, JSON and JSON Schema

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):  

  • Bachelor of Science or higher from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry
  • 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Prior experience working with binary file formats.  Ability to read and interpret technical documentation related to data formats and communication protocols.
  • Knowledge of avionics standards such as ARINC 429, ARINC 653, 1553, RS 485, etc.
  • Experience in supporting the full software development lifecycle
  • Full stack application development including UI design

Summary Pay Range $80,750.00 - $15,350.00

Summary Pay Range $99,450.00 - $155,250.00
