Boeing Global Services is currently seeking an Assembler A /B to support the Van Nuys, CA facility.

Job Description Summary

Performs repairs and overhaul of aircraft wheels and brakes using hand and power tools to disassemble, clean, inspect, and assemble aircraft wheels and brakes while adhering to all necessary technical publications, and safety and quality standards.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Clean aircraft wheel and brake assemblies.
  • Remove paint through plastic media blasting.
  • Performs simple disassembly operations on aircraft wheel and brake.
  • Supports continuous improvement of products and processes.
  • Read and comprehend blueprints and other appropriate technical publications.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

This is a safety-sensitive position and is subject to Department of Transportation (DOT) random drug and alcohol testing.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skill/Experience):

  • 1 or more years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently.
  • Ability to work in a team environment (and interact effectively with team members from non technical disciplines).
  • Ability to lift, push and pull up to 35 pounds frequently within an 8 hour shift.
  • Ability to stand and move (reach, bend, or stoop) to handle products for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to read and understand technical publication and diagrams/blueprints

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Experience with SAP
  • Mechanical and/or hydraulic experience
  • Lean production/Six Sigma knowledge or experience
  • Troubleshooting experience

Summary Pay Range: $34,000 - $64,900 Annually
