Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) has an exciting opportunity for a Mid-Level Quality Specialist – Aircraft Maintenance Records to join our team located in Mascoutah, IL

This position support the MQ-25 program and be responsible for:

  • Screening all maintenance records and logbooks and tracking data
  • Maintaining detailed aircraft records
  • Supporting periodic maintenance and inspection records for aircraft
  • Coordinating with cross functional teams to ensure smooth workflow and efficient maintenance operations
  • Organizing technical reports and related maintenance data
  • Maintaining engine logbooks and associated aircraft records
  • Understanding records requirements for In-Service equipment

Position Responsibilities:

  • Initiates, prepares, and maintains aircraft logbooks as required per COMNAVAIRFORINST 4790.2 (USN)
  • Tracks Inspections and Life Limited parts IAW applicable service guidance.
  • Prepares aircraft inventory records, reviews technical directives and initiates appropriate action to ensure all required changes, inspections have been accomplished and documented.
  • Ensures appropriate aircraft and technical directive records are maintained.
  • Maintains a log of aircraft and engine flight hours and landings.
  • Enters flight discrepancies into Aircraft Fault Reporting System (AFRS)
  • Coordinates aircraft flight activities between Production and Flight Operations.
  • Performs Engine Accounting functions per NAVAIRINST13700.15.
  • Maintains CAD/PAD records per NAVAIR 11-100-1.1
  • Demonstrates knowledge of technical orders and technical publications with emphasis on USN IETMS
  • Maintains aircraft build records in accordance with Records & Information Management system.
  • Reviews / writes internal company processes (BPI’s) and recommends process improvements.
  • Accomplishes work under strict deadlines.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the listed location.

This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship.  An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • 5+ years of aviation or aerospace experience
  • 5+ years of experience with MS Office Suite
  • 1+ year of Aircraft Records experience

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Experience with US Navy NAMP (Naval Aviation Maintenance Program), with Navy aircraft logbooks and records
  • Navy AZ (Aviation Maintenance Administrationman) experience
  • Maintenance technician experience in aviation or aerospace
  • Experience working with Military and/or civilian aircraft logbooks and records

Summary pay range: USD 80,750 – 109,250
