The Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) organization is seeking a Mid-Level Manufacturing Operations Analyst to join the Air Dominance Operations team in the Advanced Composite Fabrication Center (ACFC) located in Mesa, AZ

This position will require strong teamwork and communication skills to effectively work with the build team to support various proprietary programs.  Ideal candidates will possess strong leadership skills and the ability to adapt to a fast-paced manufacturing environment. 

The Manufacturing Operations Analyst (LP) is responsible for analyzing manufacturing processes, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing solutions to enhance operational efficiency. This role involves data analysis, process mapping, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement initiatives.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite.  The selected candidate will be required to work onsite in Mesa, AZ. 

Responsibilities may include but are not limited to the following: 

  • Build and combine data sources to produce data extracts in support of analytics research

  • Utilize tracking system to document, communicate, and ensure resolve of production issues by coordinating and facilitate multi-function group meetings required to resolve issues.

  • Analyzes and interprets data and provide root cause corrective action and trend data to identify and eliminate high impact and systemic issues

  • Works with organizations to develop strategies, plans and metrics to accomplish company initiatives using Lean methodologies or other applicable tools and processes.

  • Maintain and improve process efficiency using process methods, tools, process standards and guidelines, metric consultation, and data analysis.

  • Provide solutions and recommendations by interpreting, analyzing, and integrating applicable internal data, external data, and building metrics for reviews

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including staffing, strategic sourcing, and leadership, to support data-driven decision-making processes

  • Works at the appropriate level in the organization to implement strategies and plans

  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with peers, managers, and leadership across various levels and functions

  • Provide feedback on assessment results and identify opportunities for improvement and potential areas of risk

  • Coordinate workforce approvals, deviations, or changes

  • Communicate potential staffing issues that could impact the business and/or skill teams across the site.
    Maintain continuous partnership with HR to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures

  • Provide expertise to the work cell team on the appropriate path and resources required to efficiently and effectively resolve production issues. Use advanced technical knowledge, understanding of process flow, and networking skills to ensure issues are addressed and resolved by responsible support organization

  • Works under general direction.

This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship.  A final U.S. Secret Clearance Pre-Start is required.

This position requires ability to obtain program access, for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship only.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills & Experience):

  • 3+ years of experience with Project Management

  • 3+ years of experience collecting, analyzing and interpreting data and managing projects

  • 3+ years of experience with Quality Management Systems and/or Boeing Production System (BPS)

  • 3+ years of experience with Word, Excel, Access, Outlook, SharePoint, and MS project

  • 3+ years of experience in Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA)

  • 5+ years of experience in an aerospace, fabrication or manufacturing environment

  • 5+ years of experience implementing lean methodologies and productivity improvements

  • 5+ years of experience using strong analytic, problem solving, and troubleshooting skill

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills & Experience):

  • Bachelor’s degree

  • Experience with Ariba ordering

  • Experience with managing overhead budget

  • Experience in the Aerospace & Defense Industry and/or the military

  • Experience interfacing with senior and executive leadership

  • Experience in GOLD and tool tracking

  • Active Secret Security Clearance

  • Experience directly supporting a proprietary program

  • Knowledge working with Earned Value Management (EVM) principles and practices

Typical Education & Experience:

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 6 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Master+4 years' related work experience, 10 years' related work experience, etc.).

Summary pay range:

$79,050 - $106,950
