Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) is looking for a Procurement Multi-Family Manager with BDS Global Supply Chain & Integration for Vertical Lift. This First-Line Manager will join the Supply Chain team in Mesa, Arizona.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Manages, develops and motivates employees performing activities related to the acquisition of goods and services in support of Vertical Lift, supplier assessment and performance improvement, management and improvement of supply chain management and processes and supplier diversity.

  • Acts as an authorized agent of the company with responsibility for managing supplier-related activities and the authority to commit company resources through contracts and agreements.

  • Executes sourcing strategies, major supplier negotiations, and significant role leading program-facing integration.

  • Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with suppliers, customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports.

  • Responsible for complying with Supply Chain FAR regulations and requirements, supporting the team in the transition to SAP, and ensuring the safe work environment for all Supply Chain employees at the site.

  • Responsible for external communications with suppliers, compliance to export regulations, and intellectual property provisions.

  • Provides oversight regarding negotiation strategies, supply chain health metrics, processes and related tools.

  • Ability to work closely with Integrated Product Teams (IPT's) including Engineering, Quality, Planning, Materials Management and Production leads

  • Responsible for reporting supplier status to the program

  • Responsible for developing mitigation plans to support the needs of a rapid paced program

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite in Mesa, Arizona.

Shift: This position is for 1st shift

Security Clearance and Export Control Requirements:

This position requires the ability to obtain a US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • 3 or more years' of experience formally or informally leading teams in a cross functional environment.

  • 3 or more years' of experience managing supplier relationships.

  • Experience negotiating contracts, terms and conditions, and pricing.

  • 3 or more years' of experience developing and writing contract language; managing supplier contracts; and/or working with supply chain processes or systems.

  • Experience with critical business and financial acumen to influence and shape strategy.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher

  • Experience with government, company and local policies, procedures and regulations relating to the development of cost proposals

  • Experience leading or managing complex teams of managers or non-management employees

  • Ability to manage complex supplier executive relationships

  • Global supply chain experience / knowledge

Relocation:

This position is in a location that does offer relocation. 

Travel:  Up to 15% Domestic Travel

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

Summary pay range: $110,500 to $149,500
