Boeing Global Services (BGS) is currently seeking a Senior Project Engineer to become part of The Systems Engineering, Integration and Test (SEIT) team in Mesa, Arizona.

The Systems Engineering, Integration and Test (SEIT) team supports Vertical Lift Attack (Apache and Little Bird programs) for the United States Government as well as international customers.

The Senior Project Engineer will support the Vertical Lift Attack fleet including but not limited to engineering oversight to quality reviews, critical safety item oversight, standup of depot capabilities, and various sustainment engineering projects as required.

Position Responsibilities: 

  • Provides engineering leadership to projects related to quality deficiencies; lead process improvements; support program initiatives to improve part quality/reliability.
  • Performs technical reviews of data provided by customers, suppliers, and Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) engineering.
  • Communicates technical information across various teams including BDS/BGS engineering, Program Management, Defense Contract Management Agency (DCMA), USG engineering, supply chain, and operations.
  • Develops Statements of Work (SOW) and Procurement Specifications (PS) to satisfy research and development, ongoing and new business requirements. Identifies and manages changes to SOW and assesses the impact of those changes, and incorporates changes into statement of work.
  • Provides input to or execution guidance in support of contract requirements.
  • Authors / reviews technical reports.
  • Supports proposal development and leads project execution by identifying and coordinating activities, resources and events required to complete the work statement.
  • Identifies performance metrics.
  • Identifies and defines plans for risk mitigation and opportunity.
  • Compares actual results to baseline plan to assess project performance, efficiencies, productivity and lessons learned.
  • Performs Root Cause Analysis and implements corrective actions to improve performance.
  • Provides technical, business and integration leadership for the development and execution of the project or team plan.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite In Mesa, AZ.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):             

  • Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science.
  • Nine or more years' of related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience in an engineering or technical field.
  • Fluent in the use of Microsoft (MS) Office Tools.
  • Working knowledge of systems engineering principles to solve engineering problems, create process-driven documentation, write and derive formal requirements, manage project requirements, and produce task schedules.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Experience with legacy or new production military aircraft such as AH-64, CH-47, V-22, MELB, or AH-6i.
  • Experience with military aircraft sustainment products and services.
  • Experience with aircraft depot programs and repair manuals.
  • Experience with procurement processes and systems.
  • Experience providing technical integration across multiple engineering teams.
  • Experience with Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) analysis.
  • Experience developing integrated plans and schedules.
  • Experience with Earned Value Management.
  • Excellent verbal and written commination skills and the ability to effectively convey technical information to both technical and non-technical teams.

Summary Pay Range: $114,750 - $155,250
