Boeing South Carolina (BSC), is looking for a 787 Wire Design & Installation Engineer (Associate, Experienced or Senior) with certification experience to join our team in North Charleston, South Carolina.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of all phases of the design process, ensuring high-quality outcomes at each stage.

  • Develop and maintain organized schedules to effectively manage design timelines and deliverables.

  • Work closely with the Electrical Design team to integrate electrical components seamlessly into overall design projects.

  • Liaise with external organizations throughout the program to ensure alignment and collaboration on design initiatives.

  • Apply knowledge of certification requirements to ensure that designs meet industry standards and regulatory compliance.

  • Add appropriate regulations and means of compliance (as well as MOC discussion) with guidance from E-UM.

  • Add functional hazard/system safety statement for each system-subsystem in the cert plan

  • Create delegation discussion for each system-subsystem in the cert plan Create deliverables that will be used in the showing of compliance, which include appropriate regulations, means of compliance, and deliverable discussion

  • Develop schedule for CP submittal, deliverables, tests, and project closure

Work Authorization:

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at North Charleston, SC.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science.

  • 2+ years of experience with wire design/wire harness installation and/or equipment installation.

  • 2+ years of experience with FAA and EASA regulations/certification

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • 3+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience. 

  • 5+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience. 

  • Experience working in the aerospace industry

  • Knowledge of FAA and EASA regulations

  • Experience in Model-Based Definition (CATIA V5 or higher, Solidworks, Siemens, NX), ENOVIA, and PDM

  • Experience using all the Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)

  • Ability to quickly adapt to program tools and procedures

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.  

Summary Pay Range:

  • Associate (level 2): $81,600 – $110,400

  • Experienced (level 3): $97,750 – $132,250

  • Senior (level 4): $119,850 - $162,150
