Boeing is seeking an Asset Management Core Team Focal to join the Facilities & Infrastructure Asset Management team within our Global Real Estate and Facilities (GREF) division. This position may be based out of any major Boeing campus, occasionally traveling to other Boeing facilities across the United States. This position offers an exciting opportunity to improve the central functions and effectiveness of our asset management program.

The selected candidate will be an integral part of the Projects, Assets, Construction, and Engineering (PACE) Center of Expertise (COE) within GREF. The primary role will be to help build and implement an innovative asset management system that optimizes the delivery and performance of Boeing's facilities and infrastructure systems, relentlessly driving asset performance, and reducing cost.  Our aim is to become industry-best. As a member of the Core team, you will lead Enterprise-level initiatives that improve our business, create lean policy and procedure, and work across teams to execute. 

To excel, you will draw upon your own leadership skillset, a deep knowledge of facility and infrastructure systems, and apply program management skillsets to move the topics outlined in the Institute of Asset Management (IAM)'s Competences Framework forward. Using an integrated approach to facilities & infrastructure systems management, you will work on teams supporting strategy development, demand identification, capacity analysis, capital and expense planning, and lifecycle asset management in alignment with the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) 55000 series standards.

For this position, key attributes include leadership, initiative, ownership, and expertise in facilities and infrastructure systems management.  Strong analytical capabilities are a must. We are seeking individuals with a positive, problem-solving attitude, valuable experience, diverse perspectives, and a rich background in business, infrastructure, and strategic integration. Effective communication skills, strong leadership qualities, and a deep sense of ownership are essential. A proactive approach, customer-oriented mindset, and collaborative spirit will be highly valued and will significantly contribute to the team's success.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Engage & collaborate with leaders, planners, and technical liaisons to build a comprehensive understanding of business strategy

  • Integrate life cycle management tasks, including strategy development, asset/system condition assessment, maintenance, risk management, capital planning, business case analysis, mapping, asset commissioning, and related activities

  • Partner with subject matter experts to create and enhance a centrally-aligned asset inventory, targeting increased asset & system performance, reduced cost, and alignment with business objectives

  • Define required levels of service (e.g., condition, capacity, compliance, configuration, etc.) for infrastructure systems

  • Implement an assessment program that strategically evaluates asset and system suitability against defined levels of service 

  • Manage risk associated with system functionality born on data-driven asset performance metrics

  • Develop and analyze business case for major activities; conduct studies, research feasibility and viability of alternatives

  • Analyze trend data and identify opportunities for improvement

  • Support budget and business plan development 

  • Help create a vision for asset management team strategy

  • Up to 25% domestic travel is required

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience): 

  • 10+ years of experience in operations, engineering, and maintenance practices across various facilities and infrastructure systems, including but not limited to architectural, civil, electrical, and mechanical disciplines

  • 3+ years of experience managing projects and utilizing standard project management tools (e.g. MS Project, Gantt charts, MS PowerPoint, status charts, resource load charts)

  • 3+ years of experience in Business Intelligence/Data Analytics tools and applications (such as IBM Cognos Analytics, SQL, Tableau, Google Analytics)

  • 3+ years of experience developing strategic long range business plans 

  • Up to 25% domestic travel

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • 5+ years of experience leading projects requiring integration across business units 

  • 5+ years of experience executing asset management systems in accordance with International Organization for Standardization (ISO) 55000 Standard (or similar policy level governance structure) by applying the Institute of Asset Management (IAM) Competences Framework 

  • 5+ years of experience prioritizing strategic long range capital and operating expense business plans along with competing interests 

  • 5+ years of leadership stakeholder integration experience

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

Summary Pay Range: $117,300 - $181,700
