As a Boeing employee, you’ll be part of a dynamic team that is dedicated to innovation and excellence in aerospace. We are looking for a passionate and skilled Mid-Career Mechatronics oriented Technician to join our Production Equipment Maintenance Team in North Charleston, South Carolina. This role requires flexibility to work variable shifts, including nights and weekends.

Position Overview:
The ideal candidate will be a self-motivated professional with a strong background in mechatronics, particularly with Fanuc and Siemens controls. You will play a crucial role in maintaining and enhancing our production equipment, ensuring operational efficiency and safety.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Perform repairs and maintenance on a variety of equipment, demonstrating expertise in troubleshooting and problem resolution.

  • Respond promptly to trouble calls, addressing issues of moderate scope and complexity.

  • Adhere to safety procedures and regulations to maintain a safe working environment.

  • Interpret and utilize schematics and diagrams for effective equipment maintenance.

  • Employ a range of hand and power tools for construction, renovation, and repair tasks.

  • Work with electrical systems and electronic components of complex industrial machinery, following manuals, schematic diagrams, and engineering specifications.

  • Conduct preventive maintenance on motors, pneumatic tools, and production machines, troubleshooting malfunctions as needed.

  • Provide mentorship and guidance to less experienced team members.

  • Participate in specialized equipment training and provide training to peers and customers on equipment usage

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills and Experience):

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in equipment maintenance.

  • Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints and schematics (electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic).

  • Experience using electrical test equipment and precision measurement tools.

  • Familiarity with MS Office Suite (Word, Outlook, Excel).

  • Experience in a customer-facing role.

  • Willingness to work flexible shifts.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Experience with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) such as Maximo.

  • Knowledge of automation systems maintenance, robotics or cnc systems, and equipment controllers (Siemens 840D, Fanuc, Allen Bradley, etc).

  • Proficiency in troubleshooting and operating PLCs (preferably Siemens and Allen Bradley).

  • Previous experience in a manufacturing environment.

Shift:

This position is for a variable shift (shift 4). Variable shift means you will be placed on a shift at the time of hire based on business needs at that time. You will remain on that shift until re-evaluation is need.

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

summary pay range: $59,000 - $65,000
