Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is currently seeking Flight Line Cabin Systems Readiness Technicians to join the 787 Program Boeing South Carolina Delivery Center Operations Team in North Charleston, South Carolina on a Variable  Shift.

This position will support the 787 Program Boeing South Carolina delivery Center Operations team performing cabin repairs, final component installation and systems operational functional testing. Performs rework, modification, maintenance, preflight and post-flight checks for delivery, inspect and document non-conformance.

Primary Responsibilities:   

  • Performs Cabin repairs and functional testing

  • Performs flight test installations and aircraft functional testing.

  • Assists in troubleshooting electrical and avionics systems to isolate mechanical and/or electrical/electronic faults and assists in repairing faulty components.

  • Assists with pre-flight and post-flight checks and performs maintenance and modification actions.

  • Resolves identified problems during operation and testing of deliverable products.

  • Assists in performing system & sub-system pre-delivery inspections and aircraft maintenance in preparation for delivery.

  • Performs final component installation and systems operational functional testing.

  • Performs rework, modification, maintenance, preflight and post-flight checks for delivery, inspect and document non-conformance following detailed verbal or written instructions on items with limited complexity.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/ Experience):

  • Must be able to work any shift including days, nights and weekends.

  • 6+ months of Aerospace, Fabrication, or Manufacturing experience (including education).

  • 3+ months of experience with Foreign Object Debris (FOD) risk

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • FAA Airframe & Power Plant license.

  • 6+ months of 787 Program Experience

  • Familiar with Boeing Production System.

  • Experience with Field/Flight Line Operations

Shift:

This position is for a variable shift (shift 4). Variable shift means you will be placed on a shift at the time of hire based on business needs at that time. You will remain on that shift until re-evaluation is need.

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

Summary Pay Range - level B: $66,000 - $78,000

Summary Pay Range - level C: $75,600 - $79,800
