The Opportunity -

Boeing Defence Australia (BDA) is seeking a Procurement Specialistto join the Helicopter Aircrew Training System (HATS) Program. This position is responsible for managing request for quotation, raising and maintaining purchase orders, and ensuring supplier cost, delivery, and quality. The successful applicant will have a proven track record of identifying, developing, and implementing solutions while consistently adhering to established practices and procedures in support of the Program.

As a Procurement Specialistwithin BDA you will.

  • Be responsible for the efficient and effective management of procurement processes.
  • Deliver against the Program strategic objectives.
  • Manage Requests for Quotation (RFQ).
  • Manage purchase Orders (PO) including reconciliation of invoices and outstanding payments.
  • Deliver on commitments and plan to succeed.

About you

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • A strong knowledge and experience of supply chain processes and purchasing requirements within a commercial and defence environment
  • A good working knowledge of responsibilities and tasks performed across purchasing and the interdependencies with other departments and disciplines.
  • Ability to work with a high level of autonomy in a fast-paced environment.
  • A willingness to work in a team environment.
  • Ability to obtain and hold a Baseline security clearance.

Applicants must be Australian Citizens to meet Defence security requirements.
