The Boeing Company is seeking a Programmer Analyst to support the Bomber and Commercial Derivative Maintenance Engineering team in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. This position will be in Technical Publications Technology and Publishing Support Services and will support multiple US Air Force programs. Experience with publishing/producing technical publications data and understanding of Mil-SPECs and Mil-STDs is highly desired. Mid Level A successful candidate will design, program, test, and provide implementation and documentation of computing applications used to produce and deliver technical publications as well as modifying and upgrading these applications to maintain functionality and improve performance. Write XML Professional Publisher (XPP) Styles and XSL/XSLT Scripts for a DTD based publishing Process. Create and Troubleshoot complex SGML problems. Create, and maintain authoring and publishing software used in the production of technical publications.

Position Responsibilities: 

  • Support the Technical Publications team to write XML Professional Publisher (XPP) Styles and XSL/XSLT Scripts for a DTD based publishing Process.
  • Create and Troubleshoot complex SGML problems.
  • Create, and maintain authoring and publishing software used in the production of technical publications.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite in Oklahoma City, OK.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):             

  • 2 years’ experience with military technical orders and/or commercial maintenance manuals
  • 2 years’ experience with technical data authoring and publishing software
  • Knowledge of style and format requirements according to military specifications and commercial aviation maintenance and flight operations standards with the ability to apply this knowledge to XPP style development and XSL Scripting.
  • Must be able to troubleshoot and solve complex problems in a variety of software platforms.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • 5+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of advanced education and experience.
  • Experience and training using the following programming languages:
    • XSL/XSLT, Perl, C#
  • XML Professional Publisher (XPP) - Style development, Administration, and Differencing (Loose Leaf) setup
  • Extensive XML/SGML experience
  • Contenta - Administration, implementation through virtual machine
  • Experience with the following databases:
    • Access, Oracle, SQL Server, SQL Query
  • Experience with the following publication specifications: S1000D and MIL-STD
  • Strong time management and organizational skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

Summary Pay Range: $68,000 - $92,000

Security Clearance

This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.
