Boeing Defense, Space and Security (BDS) is hiring. The Executive Transport Portfolio is seeking a Senior Project Management Specialist (Level 4 or 5) to lead the development and support activities for aircraft that service International Government Head of State customers. This program includes all aspects of development, modification, and support. The position will be based in Oklahoma City, OK.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Responsible to manage all program baselines during all phases of program (proposal, development, entry-into-service, support)
  • Experience in organization, planning, scheduling, program strategy, reporting, proposal writing, budget planning, and contracts compliance
  • Act as the Program Lead, with full decision-making responsibility
  • This position is responsible for providing contract/program cost and/or schedule management and analysis for new and mature programs
  • Updates program time-phased budget and/or schedule and required documents associated with internal and contract changes. Maintains and statuses the program schedule and contract compliance
  • Collects and updates program performance data, prepares and analyzes historical and predictive measures, and reviews results and recommendations with the program manager and program leads
  • Assists in the preparation of program review documents and customer-required documents
  • Identifies and analyzes the program’s critical path and driving paths to schedule specific milestones
  • Fosters an environment of trust and teamwork and builds collaborative relationships
  • Leads development for multiple platforms and customers to ensure consistent quality
  • Develops and executes project and process plans, implements policies and procedures, and sets operational goals
  • Acquires resources for projects and processes provides technical management of suppliers and leads process improvements
  • Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners
  • Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products, and processes
  • Establishes Program Management Best Practices (PMBP) program goals and establishes a PMBP improvement plan
  • Working level understanding/knowledge and respect for international customer country customs, etiquette, and business practices
  • Prepare and support various Program Office activities and meetings, including US Government meetings, business case meetings, design reviews, Program Assessment Reviews (PARs), PMR (Program Management Reviews) Interface Control Working Groups (ICWG), Technical Interchange Meetings

This position is expected to be 100% onsite.  The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • 10+ years of experience in program or project management
  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
  • Experience working effectively in a globally dispersed team environment
  • Experience in proposal development

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher
  • Experience with U.S. Military or international government aviation and experience partnering with government customers to deliver services and products
  • Experience supporting aircraft production, development, and/or sustainment program(s)
  • PMP Certification

This position offers relocation based on candidate eligibility.

Travel:

Willing and able to travel 10-20% of the time, both internationally and domestically

Summary pay range:

Level 4 - $100,300 – $135,700

Level 5 $123,250 - $166,750
