Boeing Global Services (BGS) is seeking a Project Management Specialist (Level 4) to join our Program Management Operations (“PMO Ops”) team supporting across the Managed Parts portfolio of Exchange Programs. The portfolio of programs includes Component Services Programs, Landing Gear Exchange, and AeroStructures programs which are all critical services for our commercial airline customers to minimize downtime for maintenance and keep our customer fleets flying in Plano, TX.

The PMO Ops team is focused on improving the business and growing the business executing on strategic initiatives to enable sustainable growth. We support a variety of projects and programs, including systems implementations, process improvements, data visualization, and business development and growth initiatives, as well as leading the implementation of project management best practices across the organization.

The Program Management Office is split between Seattle, WA and Plano, TX with cross-functional teams around the globe.

This role will operate in a fast-paced dynamic global environment and support across the entire Managed Programs portfolio of Exchange programs and will have responsibility for a variety of projects ranging from leading large scale complex projects to smaller quick win process improvement projects.  

Strong communication and organizational skills are critical to success in this position, along with the ability to build strong relationships, collaborate in a cross-functional environment, and utilize problem-solving skills to proactively identify and manage risks and opportunities. This is a unique opportunity to work on a high performing global team supporting our aftermarket exchange programs.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite.The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options: Plano, TX.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Leads, develops, coordinates, integrates, analyzes, and maintains integrated plans, schedules, and budgets for complex projects, programs and change driven activities in accordance with project management industry.

  • Leads studies/analysis (trend, variance, impact), reports, risk assessments and planning efforts to determine impacts, constraints, process improvement, and program initiatives.

  • Identifies risk and opportunity potential, develops mitigation planning and refines the business case.

  • Develops and establishes lead time requirements.

  • Facilitates and ensures integration of project/program plan, schedules, change and baseline management, processes, techniques considered to be best practice across the industry.

  • Acts as primary project contact to establish key stakeholder requirements and project objectives.

  • Directs all phases of major projects from inception through completion.

  • Coordinates commitments with internal and external stakeholders to fulfill strategies.

The position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a “US Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. “US Person” includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • 10+ years of experience in program or project management, developing project plans, managing risks/issues/opportunities, and managing performance to plan

  • 10+ years of experience leading cross-functional teams

  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills

  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills

  • Experience preparing and presenting material to senior and executive leadership

  • Experience utilizing Microsoft Office applications such as SharePoint, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Microsoft Project.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Experience with aftermarket exchange programs (PBH)

  • Airline Experience is a plus

  • PMP Certification

  • SAP or Systems Implementation Experience is a plus

  • Experience working effectively in a globally dispersed team environment

Typical Education & Experience:

  • Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 10 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Master+8 years' related work experience, 14 years' related work experience, etc.).

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

Summary pay range: 115,600 - 156,400
