Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is seeking a Senior Manufacturing Manager (Level L) to join the Boeing Portland Manufacturing Team, based out of Portland, OR.

The Senior Manufacturing Manager will lead approximately 100 team members and will be responsible for the People, Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost & Innovation performance while delivering product to our internal Boeing Programs. This role is also part of the Portland site leadership team and will engage in site level problem solving and production system implementation.

Position Responsibilities

  • Manages employees and first-level managers performing activities within multiple manufacturing disciplines

  • Must be capable of executing recovery plans in a complex production system

  • Develops and executes integrated departmental plans, policies and procedures and provides input on departmental business and technical strategies, goals and objectives

  • Acquires resources for department activities, provides technical management of suppliers and leads process improvements

  • Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports

  • Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes

  • Manages, develops and motivates employees and first-level managers

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite in Portland, OR.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • 10+ years of experience working in an aerospace, fabrication, or manufacturing environment

  • 5+ years of experience in a formal or informal leadership position

  • 5+ years of experience with continuous process improvement initiatives

  • 3+ years advising and influencing cross-functional teams to recover factory performance and solve operational quality problems

  • Ability to work variable shifts including weekends and overtime

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • 3+ years of experience developing and delivering presentations to senior or executive leadership 

  • 3+ years of experience in a role that involves strategic planning and risk identification 

  • 3+ years of project management experience

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.  

Summary Pay Range: $133,450 - $180,550
