The Boeing Company is looking for an Experienced Estimating and Pricing Specialist in Renton, Washington.

This is an exciting opportunity to join the Estimating Center of Expertise supporting the fast-paced and growing Commercial Aircraft on Ground (AOG) Repairs team in Renton by specializing in proposal development.

Position Responsibilities: 

  • Develops estimates and prices from technical requirements through the design, build, and aftermarket support stages of the program

  • Develops, prepares and validates estimates and prices

  • Evaluates requests for proposal, substantiates estimates/pricing and assembles price proposals

  • Evaluates and develops business cases

  • Performs analyses and provides recommendations in support of pricing/estimating (risk, financial, competitive, etc.)

  • Develops and maintains pricing models

  • Incorporates data into and maintains structured systems and coordinates program database requirements

  • Develops/applies/maintains rates and factors for estimating, pricing and proposals

  • Finds opportunities to apply existing Gen-AI, machine learning, and statistical models and assists in the development of new models through the sharing of experience and feedback

  • Occasional work outside of normal business hours will be required

This position is expected to be 100% onsite.  The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Experience using professional written and verbal communication skills to achieve deliverables

  • Experience building proposals utilizing pricing systems, estimating and pricing tools and processes

  • Experience developing business case analysis

  • Experience with the Microsoft Excel application using: formulas, VLookups, pivot tables, charts, filters, and linking worksheets

  • Willing and able to work outside of standard business hours (evenings, weekends, and holidays)

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher

  • Ability  to work independently and with a cross-functional team

  • Experience in manufacturing, production, or or assembly of commercial airplanes

  • Demonstrated attention to detail to ensure accuracy when analyzing and verifying technical data

  • Ability to coordinate and communicate effectively with external customers and across multiple functions including Finance, Contracts, and technical disciplines

  • Ability to proactively apply problem solving skills

  • Works well independently, and as part of a team

  • Self-motivated with time management skills to meet tight schedules with first time quality

  • Ability to learn new systems and tools, estimating techniques, and gain program knowledge in a dynamic environment

  • Familiarity with commercial estimating

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

Summary pay range: $90,100 - $121,900
