Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Industrial Security Specialist to join our team located in Saint Charles, MO .

This position will be responsible for leading security procedures for multiple programs and locations, working directly with the customer and supporting ICD705/702 construction projects. Successful candidates will have extensive senior level experience working in a Special Access Program (SAP)/Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) environments as a CPSO/CSSO and background in briefing senior and executive leadership and government customers.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Executes Internal Security Controls through performance of compliance assessment reviews and self inspections to ensure compliance with government and company regulations/requirements.
  • Identifies deficiencies, develops and implements corrective action.
  • Conducts Administrative Inquiries on personnel, processes and situations in accordance with established operating procedures to determine level and scope of non-compliance with government and company regulations/requirements.
  • Conducts Communication Security (COMSEC) duties and responsibilities (to include inventory, distribution and destruction), in compliance with government regulations/requirements.
  • Protects government, intellectual, third party and company information from unauthorized disclosures.
  • Develops, implements and administers an Operational Security program, security education, procedures and physical controls to ensure compliance with government and company regulations/requirements on large and/or highly complex programs.
  • Contributes to enterprise Integrated Product Team (IPT) (e.g., participates in the review cycle and decision making process for enterprise export compliance, procedures (PROs), Business Process Instructions (BPI's) and Desktop Instructions (DI's).
  • Provides innovation and creativity into Personnel Security (e.g., reduce cycle time) to assist in obtaining individual security clearances/accesses for complex customer requirements.
  • Provides innovation and creativity into security awareness training and education program (briefings, bulletins and visual reminders) to educate, refresh, and motivate personnel to protect people, property and information.
  • Oversees Physical Security duties and responsibilities within Boeing facilities (e.g., complete fixed/closed facility checklists/survey areas, review and approve facility drawings for new or remodeled classified areas) to ensure compliance with company and government regulations/requirements.
  • Completes tasks toward long-range goals and objectives.
  • Oversees Sub-Contractor Management (e.g., providing contractual requirements and direction, site assistance visits and reviews) to ensure compliance with government regulations/requirements.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the listed location.

Special Program Access or other Government Access Requirements are mandatory for this position.  The position will require the ability to obtain and maintain access to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) and/or Special Access Program (SAP).

This position requires an active U.S. Top Secret/SCI with CI Polygraph Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required). (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active)

This position requires a current Tier 5 (T5), formerly known as a Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI) (U.S. Citizenship required) or requires candidate agreed to enter a Continuous Evaluation program.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Experience as a CPSO working in a Special Access Program (SAP) environment
  • 10 or more year's related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Ability to lead and work in cross-functional teams, providing Information Security guidance and bringing the group to consensus on a schedule of tasks for the team to execute
  • More than 3 years of experience working processing or supporting CSSO or CPSO program access paperwork to include PAR, PSQ, SF-86 or DD147 forms

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • CDSE, NSTI/SASSI or other Professional Certification in SAP Security, SCI Administration, ICD-705, JSIG/RMF, COMSEC, or related security certifications
  • Prior A/CPSO, A/CSSO, or Industrial Security Analyst experience (10+years), Bachelor’s degree and 6+ years in Industrial Security-related role or Master’s Degree and 4+ years of specialized industrial security experience
  • Experience working in an SCI/SAP/Aerospace security/intelligence community environment
  • Working knowledge of the NISPOM and DoD SAP Manuals
  • Ability to prioritize and multi-task with minimal supervision
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Willingness to perform occasional second-shift or after-hours work schedules to accommodate program operations  
  • Ability to maintain positive working relationship with internal and external customers
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Ability to assert control of large groups of people and comfortable with public speaking
  • Strong working knowledge of basic office automation tools such as MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
