Boeing Defense Space & Security (BDS) is looking for an F18 Quality Control Inspector-Modsto join our team in San Antonio, TX.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Verifies routine product conformance to design requirements
  • Provides objective evidence of results
  • Performs auditing, surveillance and monitoring
  • Identifies and documents discrepancies
  • Segregates and controls non-conforming items
  • Performs preliminary review and disposition of non-conformance
  • Conducts product review with customer during product or process verification
  • Identifies repetitive or significant non-conformances and initiates requests for corrective action
  • Inspect and verify repairs and modifications ejection seat ignition systems, aircraft structures and structural components
  • Inspect and survey aircraft canopy and seats (NACES II seat mechanic)
  • Determine equipment malfunctions and inspect equipment condition and operation by using knowledge of airframe and power plant systems
  • Inspect and verify ejection seat ignition systems
  • Interpret technical blueprints and manufactures' manuals

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • 1+ year of Aerospace, Fabrication, Manufacturing, or Quality Inspection experience.
  • Experience using Microsoft Office Products like Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, and Word
  • Analytical and problem solving experience to identify critical activities and tasks within work groups
  • Must be willing to work variable shift assigned.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Experience with F-18/Fighter or Depot Level/Modification maintenance
  • 5+ years of experience with ejection seat ignition systems
  • 5+ years of experience with explosives and pyrotechnics as it relates to aircraft seats
  • 5+ years of experience installing and removing ejection seats on fighter jets
  • 5+ years of experience in working with blueprints, specifications, assembly drawings and standard operating procedures
  • Must have Navy "A" school for AME

Salaries are based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. 

Summary Pay Rate: $79,100/Annually

Additive Pay: $1.00/hourly for Airframe Certification

                         $1.00/hourly for Powerplant Certification
