Boeing is seeking a Lead-level CAD Drafter to join our San Antonio Manufacturing Center Team Engineering team in San Antonio, TX.

This position will work closely with our core Engineering group to translate manufacturable drawings into CAD models. The ideal candidate will have experience in computer-aided design tools such as CATIA and NX and possess a strong background in drafting support for CAM systems.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Generate engineering models for selected designs using CAD software, particularly CATIA.
  • Translate customer needs into detailed requirements for system-integrated designs and generate engineering models using CAD software.
  • Utilize physical and digital mylars in the drafting process, converting from 2D prints to 3D models while managing surface continuity and transitions.
  • Applying knowledge of aircraft geometry, including axis and station lines when developing 3D models from 2D prints.
  • Validate manufacturing to specification compliance and support other programs or perform additional duties as needed.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite.  The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the listed location San Antonio, TX.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • 5+ years of experience with computer aided design (CAD) tools for the design of mechanical components/assemblies.
  • 5+ years of experience in the mechanical design/drafting field.
  • 5+ years of mechanical and assembly integration experience.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Associate degree or higher.
  • 5+ years of experience with CATIA.

Salaries are based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.  

Summary pay range: $75,650 - $102,350.
