Boeing Defense Space & Security (BDS) is currently hiring for a broad range of experience levels including Mid-Level and Lead Manufacturing Technology Analysts to become part of the Manufacturing Engineering Team in San Antonio, TX.

The candidates in this role will support the VC-25B Manufacturing Engineering team as they define and further mature the build plan - integrating commodity deliverables into an executable product. This position will be responsible to develop zonal build plans, integrate design changes, and advise shipside teams on how to most effectively execute the engineering requirements.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Implements design and build plan changes minimizing disruption while capturing maximum benefits through highly collaborative behavior and processes championed by Manufacturing Engineering and inclusive of all the stakeholders in the change.
  • Play a vital role in the health of the production system and act as a bridge between design, the build plan, and the product.
  • Support the execution of the Build Integration process by creating documentation and training, providing visibility of active engineering design changes and associated risks to milestones, and ensuring design changes advance through the review process.
  • Responsible for integrating all changes to the affected commodities and executing the Build Integration milestones.
  • Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports. Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes.
  • Accomplish Build Integration processes & build plan milestones.
  • Champion process to functional organization and stakeholders.
  • Lead collaboration and integration across the affected commodities.
  • Enhance the Build Integration process by providing lessons learned/after action review meetings.
  • Attend technical review meetings for design changes and provide build impact and recommendation.
  • Compile impact assessment inputs from commodity MEs to support the process.
  • Develop and implement manufacturing plans.
  • Create installation planning and supporting installation planning shipside in San Antonio.
  • All other duties as assigned.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite in San Antonio, TX.

This position requires the ability to obtain a US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • 6+ years related work experience or an equivalent combination of work experience and education
  • 2+ years of experience utilizing IVT or equivalent 3D model visualization software
  • 3+ years of experience reading and understanding engineering drawings, blueprints, schematics, and specifications.
  • 3+ years of experience in manufacturing or manufacturing support environment.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • 10 or more years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 3+ years of experience applying professional/technical writing skills, teaming successfully to solve technical issues.
  • Advanced Microsoft Office Suite Skills.
  • CATIA experience.
  • Goldesp experience.
  • MESci experience.

Typical Education/Experience:

Mid-Level (Level 3)

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 6 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Master+4 years' related work experience, 10 years' related work experience, etc.)

Lead (Level 4)

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 10 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Master+8 years' related work experience, 14 years' related work experience, etc.).

Relocation:

Relocation assistance is not a negotiable benefit for this position. Candidates must live in the immediate area or relocate at their own expense.

Summary Pay Range: 

Mid-Level $ 81,600 – 110,400

Lead $ 97,750 – 132,250
