Boeing Brazil is seeking Senior Airworthiness & Regulatory Engineer reporting directly to the Safety and Airworthiness Manager, working out of the São José dos Campos.

The Senior Airworthiness & Regulatory Engineer will lead certification efforts such as: process definition, audit, and Supplemental Type Certificates (STCs). Leading activities on regulatory requirements and enhancing the certificability of products to minimize future certification risks are also key aspects of this role. The successful candidates have certification experience, experience in the development and execution of project and process and implement policies and procedures.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and collaborate with the Federal Aviation Administration and foreign regulatory agencies, mainly Agencia Nacional de Aviação Civil (ANAC), to execute Supplemental Type Certificate and international type validation projects.
  • Planning, organization, implementation and monitoring of requirements management processes, tools, risk, issues, opportunity management and technology readiness assessment processes.
  • Facilitate discussions with the FAA, foreign regulatory agencies, mainly Agência Nacional de Aviação Civil (ANAC), and airplane program leaders.
  • Support technical airworthiness planning and verification support including development and negotiation of airworthiness plans, basis of certifications, means of compliance, and certification activities.
  • Coordinate the development of solutions for complex issues related to certification and leading team members accordingly.
  • Building relationships and interfacing with other members of the program, leadership, customers, and suppliers to meet team objectives.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the listed location.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Must have existing rights to work in Brazil
  • Must have a degree in Engineering
  • Must be registered or eligible to register with the Engineering and Agronomy Regional Council (Conselho Regional de Engenharia e Agronomia - CREA).
  • Proficient in both verbal and written communications skills in the English Language 

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • In depth experience with designing and implementing policies and procedures.
  • In depthexperience in a role developing, leading, and executing projects and utilizing project processes / skills.
  • In depthexperience in FAA/EASA/ANAC certification.
  • Previous aerospace industry experience.
  • Experience with airplane safety and certification processes.
  • Experience developing and maintaining relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners, and direct reports.

This position offers relocation based on candidate eligibility. 

Additional Information: 

This requisition is for a locally hired position in Brazil.  

Candidates must have current legal authorization to live and work in Brazil.
