Boeing Brazil is seeking Senior Structural Analysis Engineer, reporting to the 777 Fuselage Structures Manager, working out of the Sao Jose Dos Campos office.

The Senior Structural Analysis Engineer will join 777 Fuselage team supporting structures development, certification, sustaining and contributing to 777 Program challenges.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development, integration and documentation of structural modifications on system and sub-system levels.
  • Guide product design and verify structural integrity of parts and components by using analytical methods, finite element models/simulations and other analysis tools throughout the product lifecycle to ensure safety, quality and performance of the product.
  • Participate on customers and other stakeholders’ communication to drive solutions that meet or exceed expectations.
  • Lead the investigation of root causes and customer’s reports and provide timely responses to the fleet events.
  • Lead the definition of affected structural requirements, create certification reports (analysis or tests) to substantiate stress analysis results to be disclosed and approved by customers and regulatory agencies.
  • Support in-service products by investigating failures and analyzing improvements.
  • Develops analytical processes/tools to improve effectiveness, quality and efficiency of the development effort.
  • Be a role-model for the younger engineers, guiding them and being an example to be followed.
  • Apply knowledge of structural analysis principles to assess and resolve product/process issues discovered throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Analyze non-conformities for structural integrity impacts and identify, document and communicate deviations that could impact design intent and safety.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite.  The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the listed location.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Must have existing rights to work in Brazil
  • Must have a degree in Engineering
  • Must be registered or eligible to register with the Engineering and Agronomy Regional Council (Conselho Regional de Engenharia e Agronomia - CREA).
  • Proficient in both verbal and written communications skills in the English Language.
  • In-depth experience with Structures Engineering

Preferred Qualifications (Education/Experience):

  • In-depth experience with Structures Engineering.
  • In-depth experience in structural analysis methods and tools (Hand-Calculation and Finite Element Analysis Method).
  • Experience with design and analysis of metallic and/or composite materials.
  • Experience with durability and damage tolerance analysis.
  • Direct experience/participation working with compliance demonstration for regulatory requirements (ANAC/FAA).
  • In-depth experience with Fleet Support and Repair’s design and substantiation.
  • Knowledge of Aircraft Manuals, such as SRM, AMM, FIM, AIPC and other.

This requisition is for a locally hired position in Brazil.
