At Boeing, we innovate and collaborate to make the world a better place. Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) Customer Support is seeking an Engineering Multi-Skill Manager to join the Airplane Maintenance Engineering team in Seal Beach, California.

This position will be responsible for workforce management, talent management, and technical excellence. Candidates must possess outstanding leadership, technical, management, systems thinking, and communication skills. They should have demonstrated experience working with program, capability, function, and human resources management at all levels. Our mission is to ensure the highest quality output critical to the safe and efficient operation of the Boeing fleet and exceeding the expectations of our amazing customers.

This position offers an outstanding opportunity to lead teams working on sophisticated technical challenges. In this position, you will engage with program offices, service engineering, design engineering teams, field service teams, Fleet Chief Offices, U.S. and International commercial customers/suppliers, Boeing Global Service (BGS), and regulatory agencies.

Position Responsibilities: 

  • Manages, develops, and motivates employees performing engineering activities within a Customer Support organization.
  • Oversees the development and validations of Boeing Manuals such as: Aircraft Maintenance Manual (AMM) and Fault Isolation Manual (FIM).
  • Ensures coordination with design, to drive quality into documents.
  • Oversees and manages work share partners.
  • Develops and carries out project and process plans, implements policies and procedures, and sets operational goals.
  • Has strong relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners, direct reports.
  • Provides technical guidance to resolve engineering issues.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):   

  • Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science
  • 5+ years of experience in the airline/aerospace industry

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • 5+ years of experience with commercial airplanes or commercial derivatives
  • 2+ years of experience leading an engineering team.
  • Ability to embrace change, lead continuous improvement, and treat safety and quality as top priorities.
  • Experience in maintenance operations.
  • Experience leading complex projects.
  • Knowledge of industry trends (customers, regulators, competitors, etc).
  • Thrives with managing ambiguity and turning it into action.

Relocation:

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.  

Summary pay range: $138,550 - $187,450
