Job Description Summary: 

Boeing Commercial Airplanes Customer Support is seeking a Project Management Specialist (Level 4) with the skills and abilities to manage projects and initiatives. As part of Business Operations, you will be responsible for defining business requirements, integration and end-user support models for projects while employing lean, agile, and scrum project execution methods.

This position offers the opportunity to lead projects aligned to strategic organizational priorities and advance project management functional excellence across the organization. You will also develop a comprehensive and in-depth understanding of the Customer Support business and work seamlessly with our partners in both BCA and BGS.  This position is located in Seal Beach, California.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Work directly with leadership to define and maintain business strategies, organizational goals, objectives and initiatives
  • Participate in long range business plan activity including quarterly financial forecasting, basis of estimates, and maintenance of ground rules and assumptions
  • Utilize business acumen and operational knowledge to define measures for operational health, determine targets for metrics that align to long range business plan, and define reporting requirements that align with business unit operating rhythm
  • Monitor business unit operational health regularly, understand factors contributing to performance, and provide recommendations for improvement as necessary
  • Define and maintain the operating rhythm architecture that is conducive to running a healthy core business including coordination with cross-functional personnel to prepare for key meetings and facilitation of strategic meetings
  • Plan, commit, and control work statement from internal and external organizations to drive critical decisions and business results
  • Develop, lead, and manage the authorization and deployment of commitments such as planning and program directives. Coordinate with internal and external organizations regularly to ensure compliance to plan.
  • Apply Project Management skills to lead or support special projects within the business unit
  • Monitor and track portfolio of business unit projects, understand impact of each project to business, and communicate status
  • Identify risk and opportunity potential and develop mitigation plans as part of risk management plan
  • Develop presentations and deliver progress reports to leadership
  • Facilitates the establishment of an overall management system architecture by utilizing the Program Management Best Practices
  • Provides coaching and guidance to less experienced personnel

This position is expected to be 100% onsite.  The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor's degree or higher
  • 5+ years of experience in project or program management or related work experience 
  • Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
  • 5+ years of experience with Program Management Best Practices (PMBP)
  • Certificate in project management or PMP certification

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.  

Summary pay range: $115,600 - $156,400.
