Information Digital Technology and Security (IDT&S) is seeking a Lean Information Technology Innovation Senior Manager to join the Lean IT Innovation team within the Enterprise AI & Data organization in either Seattle, WA; North Charleston, SC; Chicago, IL; Everett, WA; Mesa, AZ; Plano, TX; Renton, WA; or Berkeley, MO.

This leadership position will develop and lead the Lean Innovation solutions for the entire IT organization, focusing on AI-enabled innovation, automation, and data-driven processes simplification to enhance IT operational efficiency and performance.

The successful candidate will orchestrate efforts with key departments within IDT&S to drive efficiency and improve operational clock speed through a strong partnership with the Software and Architecture Chapters. With a deep understanding of both the organization’s strategic objectives and the intricacies of its day-to-day functions, this individual will collaborate across multiple departments to drive process simplification, improve stability, observability and unlock productivity by leveraging lean, AI & automation capabilities.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Partner with the IT leadership team to identify top opportunities for efficiency improvements and align key initiatives to improve the overall IT business experience

  • Utilize Lean methodologies and tools to streamline workflows and apply automation to eliminate waste in IT operations

  • Leverage AI & automation technologies for improving system stability and observability

  • Modernize our critical products, systems & capabilities and enable data-driven decision-making across IT

  • Provide leadership and guidance to project teams fostering a collaborative and results-oriented culture that eliminates bureaucracy and encourages innovation, continuous improvement, and cross-functional collaboration

  • Lead efforts to simplify and automate IT processes, reducing manual intervention and increasing speed and efficiency

  • Develop a value stream map for key IT processes and lead cross functional teams to redefine & automate process steps, thereby eliminating waste and improving clock speed of IT

  • Assess and streamline the tools and technologies used across IT to reduce duplication and improve integration, ensuring alignment with Lean principles

  • Communicate progress, challenges, and successes to senior IT leadership team and stakeholders, fostering transparency and collaboration

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):      

  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher

  • 10+ years of experience with program management, project management and/or business operations

  • 10+ years of experience leading or managing process improvement projects

  • 5+ years of experience leading/supporting data analytics, development of new tools and/or information technology

  • 5+ years of experience in Lean process implementation

  • 5+ years of experience as a proven leader with strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills

  • 3+ years of experience leading initiatives that require Automation and/or Artificial Intelligence

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Master’s Degree or higher

  • Experience with Automation, AI technologies, data analytics, and their application in operational processes

  • Experience leading large-scale business transformations from concept through implementation

  • Experience in financial acumen, executive presence, and decision-making

  • Lean Six Sigma certification

  • Experience with Agile methodologies

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

Summary pay range: $151,300 – $218,500
