The Boeing Company is currently seeking a Mid-LevelEnvironmental Engineer to join the team. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a world class Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) team located in either Seattle, WA,Renton, WA, Everett, WA or Tukwila, WA.

The scope of this position will be to implement the Tanks and Sumps compliance program along with applicable Spill Prevention Control and Countermeasures (SPCC) Plans at the Everett, WA site as well as other sites in Washington associated with the Commercial Airplanes 737 Program. The 737 Program sites include Renton, North Boeing Field, Plant 2, South Park, and Moses Lake. The approximate time allocation is 1/3 at Everett and 2/3 at the 737 sites. This is a fully onsite role but there is flexibility in which site to work from although the selected candidate will spend time at all of the locations. The position will assist with other Environmental Compliance Tasks, such as auditing and reporting.

This is a SPEEA-represented position that will be covered by the terms of the collective bargaining agreement. Applicable and appropriate educational/certification credentials from an accredited institution and/or equivalent experience is required.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Assesses the impact of emerging environmental issues, legislation and regulations on company operations

  • Develops, implements and monitors environmental management systems, processes and programs

  • Acts as primary site interface with regulatory agencies

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher

  • 3+ years of experience with environmental compliance, environmental program management

  • 3+ years of experience in areas of air quality, stormwater, hazardous waste, industrial wastewater, spill prevention, storage tanks, environmental sampling, data analysis, and/or environmental reporting

  • 3+ years of experience interacting with internal and external stakeholders

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, environmental science, chemistry, geology, or environmental management

  • Experience with environmental compliance and regulations

  • Environmental Permitting Experience

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

Summary pay range: $96,050 – $129,950
