Boeing Global Services (BGS) Commercial Maintenance Training team is seeking a Mid-Level Support Integration Specialist/JIRA Architect to join us in Seattle, WA.

The selected candidate will be primarily supporting our Learning Design team SOW as our JIRA architect to develop and maintain workflows and metrics for the Global Aviation Safety efforts to include Competency Based Training and Assessment courseware development but will also support legacy platform courseware tracking activities and metrics.

Position Responsibilities:

  • System Design and Optimization:

Design, implement, and maintain Jira environments tailored to specific organizational needs, including workflows, permissions, and customizations.

  • Workflow Management:

Develop, optimize, and maintain Jira workflows, ensuring they align with project processes and agile methodologies.

  • Automation and Scripting:

Utilize Jira's automation capabilities and scripting to streamline processes, reduce manual tasks, and improve efficiency.

  • Integration:

Design and implement integrations between Jira and other tools, such as Confluence, Power BI, or other enterprise systems.

  • Plugin and Add-on Management:

Assess, implement, and manage Jira plugins and add-ons to extend the platform's functionality.

  • Data Migration and Reporting:

Develop and execute data migration strategies and provide support for reporting and analytics using Jira.

  • Training and Support:

Provide training and support to Jira users, including administrators and end-users, ensuring they understand how to effectively use the system.

  • Performance Tuning:

Monitor and optimize Jira's performance, including database tuning and troubleshooting issues.

  • Documentation:

Document technical implementations, configurations, and changes to maintain clarity and facilitate future maintenance.

  • Collaboration:

Work with cross-functional teams, including project managers, developers, and business analysts, to understand business needs and design solutions.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related major OR equivalent experience will be considered in lieu of degree
  • 5+ years of experience in Jira administration and architecture
  • 5+ years of experience with Agile software development methodologies
  • Strong understanding of Jira configuration, workflows, and automation capabilities
  • Experience in technical documentation and solution design
  • Proven track record of implementing complex Jira solutions in enterprise environments
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong communication skills with ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
  • Ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions and clearly document processes

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • PMP
  • Atlassian certifications
  • Knowledge of aviation training processes
  • 5+ years’ experience with commercial aviation technical data

Summary Pay Range: $93,500- $126,500
