The Boeing Company is currently seeking a Safety Specialist (Associate or Mid-Level) to join the team in either Seattle, WA or Renton, WA

The 737 Environment, Health and Safety (EHS) Team is looking for an experienced Health and Safety Professional to support various teams at the various Puget Sound sites. This position is expected to apply an interdisciplinary, collaborative approach to plan, design, develop and verify mitigations to existing and future EHS risks in the production system. As part of the EHS team you will support health and safety initiatives, projects and compliance and provide mentorship and cultural influence through the safety team, leadership team and airplane program.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Develops, implements and monitors occupational health and safety programs and processes

  • Develops and provides training and instructions

  • Evaluates the impact of emerging issues, regulations and legislation to company operations

  • Develops corrective action plan to respond to internal/external audits and inspections

  • Plans and conducts health and safety audits

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher

  • 1+ years of experience in Environment, Health & Safety (EHS)

  • 1+ years of experience writing technical reports

  • 1+ years of experience collaborating across functions and organizational levels

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in a safety related field (Industrial Hygiene, Occupational Safety, Toxicology, Bio-Engineering, Public Health, etc.)

  • Associate Safety Professional or Certified Safety Professional certification from the Board of Certified Safety Professionals

  • Level 3: 3+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience

  • Level 2: 1+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience

  • 3+ years of experience managing projects

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.  


Summary pay range for Level 2: $80,750 - $109,250

Summary pay range for Level 3: $95,200 - $128,800
