Boeing’s Information Technology & Data Analytics (IT&DA) Test & Evaluation Product team is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Domain Architect to join our team in Seattle, WA; Everett, WA; Hazelwood, MO; or North Charleston, SC.

The selected candidate will play a critical role in driving decisions for our future-state architecture, while supporting assessments of as-is architecture and plotting the transitional architecture as we modernize our portfolio. This position requires a strong understanding of architectural principles and the ability to integrate these functions into the software development lifecycle.

This individual will possess strong communication and collaboration skills, as this position will partner with stakeholders across the Test & Evaluation domain, including IT and Engineering, from Software Developers to Executives, and Vendors to continuously evolve the architectural direction in concert with evolving business requirements.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Define requirements and design robust architecture, data, and information management systems and components

  • Establish design constraints and ensure that architecture conforms to established requirements

  • Incorporate architecture functions into the software development lifecycle to enhance system performance and reliability

  • Lead the development and configuration management of architecture views and models to provide clarity and direction for development teams

  • Assess the feasibility of architecture solutions and alternatives, performing trade-off analyses to determine the best options

  • Evaluate products to assess their suitability for integration into delivery system environments, ensuring compatibility and efficiency

  • Draft data and information management products and service standards to guide development and operational practices

  • Assess the impact of architectural decisions on the product lifecycle, ensuring alignment with strategic goals

  • Contribute to the development of architecture and data/information management standards and strategies

This position is hybrid. The selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at one of the listed location options. This is at the hiring team’s discretion and could potentially change in the future.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • 5+ years of experience creating system architectures/design

  • 5+ years of experience working with product data management information and systems

  • 5+ years of experience working with software development lifecycles

  • 5+ years of experience working in a cross functional environment with all levels in the business from individual contributors to executive leadership

  • 1+ years of experience in cloud security architecture and design, with a focus on major cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP)

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher

  • Experience with architecture modeling tools and methodologies

  • Experience in Information Technology & Data Analytics (IT&DA)

  • Experience communicating complex concepts clearly and effectively to technical and non-technical stakeholders

  • Experience as a software developer with the ability to contribute to the coding efforts and lead code reviews

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

Summary pay range: $122,400 - $177,100
