Boeing Defense, Space and Security (BDS) is hiring for a Government & Capital Property Specialist (Government Property Management), Associate or Mid-level, to join the Operations division located in Titusville, FL.

At Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS), we are committed to delivering innovative solutions and services to our customers. Our Supplier Assessment team plays a critical role in ensuring that our suppliers effectively manage government-owned property throughout its lifecycle. We are looking for a dedicated Government and Capital Property Specialist to join our dynamic team and contribute to our mission.

The Government and Capital Property Specialist will be responsible for conducting compliance audits of Property Management Systems across our BDS Supply Chain. This role involves assessing suppliers in possession of government-owned property provided by BDS to support the manufacture, testing, and delivery of purchase contract end items, as well as property under the terms of repair purchase contracts. The successful candidate will work with diverse teams across multiple organizations to plan, organize, and perform auditing responsibilities.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Establish and maintain procedures to assess the effectiveness of suppliers' property management systems and conduct compliance audits to ensure adherence to criteria.
  • Serve as a key liaison with independent contractors to meet company requirements for asset and material lifecycles.
  • Plan and coordinate reviews with team members, interpreting external procedures related to asset lifecycles.
  • Obtain and objectively evaluate evidence to ensure compliance with applicable criteria.
  • Analyze and document process efficiency, managing adherence to process controls and addressing issues with internal and external organizations.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of all reviews and interactions, ensuring integrity for future challenges.
  • Stay current with changing regulations and provide guidance and training to team members.
  • Continuously seek improvements in internal processes

Additional Responsibilities to Include:

  • Administers the terms of contract provisions that specify the company's obligations to acquire, control, use, care for, report and dispose of property.
  • Assists in performing audits, documenting processes and procedures and investigating and reporting lost or damaged property.
  • Learns to determine property acquisition requirements, product availability and authority to fulfill company, program or contractual obligations.
  • Uses off-the-shelf software or Boeing system tools to manage and communicate property information and to establish property records for company or government property.
  • Maintains accountability from initial acquisition to final disposition by coordinating, preparing and documenting applicable forms to indicate a change of ownership, accountability or location of property in accordance with applicable government regulations, customer contracts or corporate policy.
  • Conducts physical inventory of property and reconciles results to ensure compliance with regulations.
  • Assists in verifying that property records accurately reflect inventory on hand and that equipment servicing requirements are established by responsible organizations.
  • Learns to confirm that service work is scheduled and performed in accordance with applicable government regulations, customer contracts, corporate policy or recommended industry standards.
  • Learns how to determine when property is allowable, reasonable, allocable and utilized in accordance with company or contract requirements.
  • Performs disposition of property identified by company, legal or contractual requirements.
  • Assists with inventory adjustments, liability determinations and title issues.
  • Handles basic property related activities at completion or termination of contract.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • 3+ years of experience with Microsoft Office Applications
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

Level 2

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher
  • 1+ years of experience administering processes and tools for managing Government or Capital Property.
  • 1+ years of experience with GOLD, Property Management system for tool classification, status, location, and accountability.
  • Experience working with U.S. Government Federal Acquisition Regulations.
  • Experience in supplier assessment, property management, or a related field.

Level 3

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher
  • 3+ years of experience administering processes and tools for managing Government or Capital Property.
  • 3+ years of experience with GOLD, Property Management system for tool classification, status, location, and accountability, or related system
  • 3+ years of working with U.S. Government Federal Acquisition Regulations.
  • 1+ years of experience in supplier assessment, property management, or a related field.

Summary pay range:

Associate / Level 2 –

Tier 1: El Segundo, CA / Ridley Park, PA / Houston, TX / Everett, WA: USD $64,600 - $87,400

Tier 2: Huntsville, AL / Mesa, AZ / Titusville, FL / Berkeley, MO: USD $60,350 - $81,650

Tier 3: Oklahoma City, OK: USD $56,100 - $75,900

Mid-level / Level 3 –

Tier 1: El Segundo, CA / Ridley Park, PA / Houston, TX / Everett, WA: USD $79,050 – $106,950

Tier 2: Huntsville, AL / Mesa, AZ / Titusville, FL / Berkeley, MO: USD $73,950 – $100,050

Tier 3: Oklahoma City, OK: USD $68,850 - $93,150
