The Boeing Company is looking for highly motivated Cost Volume Lead to support the Boeing Defense, Space and Security (BDS) team in Tukwila or Seattle, Washington.

This is an exciting opportunity to help shape the future of the E-7 program!

Position Responsibilities:

  • Develops estimates and prices from technical requirements through the design, build, and aftermarket support stages of the program

  • Evaluates requests for proposal, substantiates estimates/pricing and assembles price proposals

  • Evaluates and develops business cases

  • Performs analyses and provides recommendations in support of pricing/estimating (risk, financial, driven, etc.)

  • Develops and maintains pricing models

  • Incorporates data into models and maintains structured systems and coordinates program database requirements

  • Develops/applies/maintains rates and factors for estimating, pricing and proposals

  • Performs compliance activities including policy and procedure development, system/tool deployment and training delivery

  • Collaborates with various functional groups: finance, contracts, and engineering to develop estimates for proposals

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher

  • 5+ years of experience in a business-related role

  • 5+ years of experience investigating cost estimates, proposals, and/or financials

  • Advanced experience with Excel (i.e. formulas, pivot tables, linking worksheets)

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Experience with data analytics

  • Experience with material and labor estimating

  • Knowledge of Truth in Negotiations Act (TINA) requirements

  • Experience with the proposal process

  • Experience with strong oral and written communications skills

Summary pay range: $113,900 – $154,100
