The Boeing Test & Evaluation (BT&E) team is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer – Assembly and Installation specializing in Additive Manufacturing and Prototyping to join our team in Tukwila, WA. In this role, you will have the exciting opportunity to work in a hands-on environment, where you will play a crucial role in the development and implementation of innovative production methodologies. BT&E is currently hiring for a broad range of experience levels including Associate and Experienced level Manufacturing Engineers.

Position Responsibilities Include:

  • Assist in the development and implementation of production methodologies, specifically focusing on additive manufacturing processes
  • Collaborate with engineers and customers to integrate technical solutions and support product design, development, and modification
  • Analyze and interpret engineering data to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to additive manufacturing
  • Implement Lean principles and technologies to enhance manufacturing efficiency and minimize waste
  • Interface with suppliers, professional associations, and internal customers to develop products and enhance skills and knowledge
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and uphold safety standards in all manufacturing processes
  • Contribute to continuous learning and development initiatives within the team
  • Operate in a hands-on environment including the use of large scale 3D printers, post processing, metrology, and test equipment

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science    
  • 1+ years of experience and/or education in Additive Manufacturing technologies
  • 1+ years of experience using Computer Aided Design (CAD) software
  • 1+ years of experience using hand tools and/or hand-held power tools
  • 1+ years of design experience

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • 3 or more years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Knowledge of assembly and production processes, including materials and processing techniques.
  • Experience with computer-aided design (CAD) tools and systems, such as CATIA or SolidWorks.
  • Experience with engineering processes, regulatory compliance and post-production support.
  • Proven ability to lead projects and collaborate effectively within cross-functional teams.
  • Experience in troubleshooting and problem-solving within a manufacturing environment.
  • Knowledge of engineering processes and the ability to apply systems thinking to manufacturing challenges.
  • Understands the business environment and applies knowledge to contribute to strategic goals.
  • Commitment to personal and professional development.

Pay & Benefits:

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.  

Summary pay range for associate level: $80,750 – $109,250

Summary pay range for experienced level: $96,050 – $129,950
