Boeing Defense, Space and Security (BDS) is seeking a Senior Product Support Program Manager (Level M) to support the VC-25B Program team in Tukwila, WA or San Antonio, TX.

The VC-25B program offers an exciting opportunity to join a One Boeing team dedicated to development, production, operations, and sustainment of the VC-25B Presidential Aircraft as VC-25B Support and Training Program Manager.  The PM will be responsible for the support and training system integrated product team and be the primary customer interface to the USAF product support program manager.  The successful candidate will manage employees and mid-level managers performing program management activities as well as lead a cross-functional team developing and delivering sustainment products and services to USAF.

Develop and executes integrated VC-25B plans, policies and procedures and guides the development of the VC-25B support and training system products and services that align with technical strategies, goals, and objectives. Partners with various functional teams and business units for organizational activities, provides technical management of suppliers and leads process improvements. Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with United Staes Air Force customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports. Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes. Manages, develops and motivates employees and mid-level managers.

Must have a proven track record of building positive relationships and leading through influence, a strong business acumen employing earned value management on US Government (USG) contracts, and attention to details managing projects and programs.  Must be a systems thinker with ability to work across Boeing business units; as well as USG customers. Knowledge of several product support elements is desired.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Manages employees and mid-level managers performing business management activities in the area of Program Management.
  • Develops and executes integrated organizational plans, policies and procedures and guides the development of business and technical strategies, goals, objectives.
  • Acquires resources for organizational activities, provides technical management of suppliers and leads process improvements.
  • Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports.
  • Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes.
  • Manages, develops and motivates employees and mid-level managers.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite.  The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Top Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • 5+ years of experience in program planning or project management.
  • Experience in Product Support with aerospace programs
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • 5+ years of experience demonstrating people management skills to include coaching, teaching, mentoring
  • 5+ years of experience interfacing with and presenting to senior and/or executive leadership
  • 3+ years of experience leading teams in the development program phase including capturing significant programmatic opportunities
  • Experience leading projects or programs utilizing Earned Value management and RIO management to drive program performance

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or a related field
  • Current Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification
  • Active Secret clearance

This position offers relocation based on candidate eligibility.

Travel:

Ability to travel 25% of the time (approximately once a month)

Summary pay range:

Tukwila, WA - $192,950 - $261,050

San Antonio, TX - $180,200 - $243,800
