BDA is now recruiting for the position of Environment Health and Safety Specialist based at Edinburgh. South Australia This role offers an exceptional opportunity to apply your expertise in hazardous chemicals and occupational hygiene, as well as your broad EHS knowledge and stakeholder engagement skills.

As the EHS Specialist, reporting to the EHS Operations Manager, you will be responsible for maintaining the hazardous chemicals register related to aircraft operations, supporting BDA's EHS Management System, particularly supporting occupational hygiene and hazardous chemical matters, and delivering EHS guidance and support to a range of stakeholders. Your role is targeted to be skilled in practises and principles of hazardous chemical management and occupational hygiene.

BDA requires all applicants to be able to demonstrate the following essential qualifications:

  • Formal qualifications in Work Health and Safety, occupational hygiene or science;
  • A sound understanding of Work Health and Safety legislation, principles and practises;
  • A sound understanding of risk management;
  • Five years of experience in a similar role, having strong experience with hazardous chemical management and systems (i.e. ChemAlert).

Applicants must be Australian Citizens to meet defence security requirements and be able to obtain security clearances as a key requirement of the role.
