The Boeing Company has an opening for a Strategy Development Manager. This position is responsible for managing the research, analysis, and development of business strategies related to the Air Dominance division within Boeing Defense, Space, and Security (BDS). This position will be in Berkeley, MO or Arlington, VA.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team of strategy analysts through market analysis and business cases to develop and prioritize then allocate and manage strategic resources and  investments

  • Identify market trends and assess their effects of the company's business posture and resulting strategic implications

  • Formulate and recommend specific business objectives, strategies, investments, and plans to support company decision-making processes

  • Identify information to analyze, filter, integrate, and disseminate industry assessments and information

  • Conduct alternative scenario planning exercises

  • Recommend and implement strategies, strategic alliances, partnerships, and acquisitions to achieve enterprise-wide strategic business objectives

  • Support the development and present executive business strategy presentations

  • Influence and consult with senior executive management in company decision-making processes

  • Coordinate across BDS divisions (PW, MS&B, SI&WS, VL), broader Boeing (ET&T, BGS, etc), and functions to implement strategies and drive the highest return on investment possible to exceed business objectives and LRBP targets.

As a manager, this individual must be able to lead, develop, and motivate employees and direct reports. Operating at the Division level, this individual must possess strong analytical, communication, and presentation skills with the ability to distill complex problems into cogent recommendations to advise Division leadership.  In addition, this individual must have a proven ability to build and leverage close working relationships across Divisions’ stakeholders, peers, partners, and direct reports to successfully navigate challenging business decisions.

The successful candidate must possess a record of outstanding performance over a history of positions with increasing responsibility. Proven strategic planning expertise and campaign experience will enable a candidate to successfully function in this assignment. Operational and technical experience is highly desired.

The selected candidate will be required to perform most work onsite at one of the listed location options.

This position requires an active U.S. Secret Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required). (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active)

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor’s degree

  • 8+ years of experience leading teams on sophisticated projects

  • 3 + years of experience in strategy, competitive assessment, business intelligence and/or market analysis

  • Experience with the DOD and defense programs

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Masters’ Degree or higher

  • Experience within the Fixed Wing Strike market

  • Current Top Secret security clearance

Relocation:

This position does not offer relocation. Candidates must live in the immediate area

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

Summary pay range:

Arlington, VA - $159,800 to $216,200

Berkley, MO - 149,600 to $202,400
